Cafe Alara — Restaurant in Bremerton

I can speak from two experiences; one was when I wondered into the shop and ordered a coffee; I hung out on the cozy small and inviting atmosphere for an hour drinking my coffee and waiting for my partner to get out of work for lunch. It was a comfortable and relaxing place and the coffee (mocha breve) was DELICIOUS.

And recently I just ordered a platter of sandwiches for my company’s training group and the sandwiches were fantastic! The sauce on the sandwiches is delicious, each veggie was incredibly fresh and crisp and the bread wasn’t soggy! And a day before I picked up my order I had to request to make a sandwich gluten free and vegetarian. I called and spoke to Autumn, the owner, and she provided excellent, kind and helpful service easily achieving this for me.

I just served the platters to the training group and their jaw dropped as the presentation is great and they all raved at how wonderful the food is and the gluten need was so happy and she loves her too!! The platters were emptied in minutes so I don’t have a picture but here’s my plate… well what’s left of my 2 half...

We were simply looking for a place with decent sandwiches when we walked into this lovely place. While ordering we had a pleasant conversation with all of the people who were working at the time. Then the sandwiches came….. WOW!!! They were all soooo good! I had the beef and cheddah on rye, I couldn’t believe what I was eating. I was not prepared for how good it was. My fiancé had the turkey pesto on rosemary, she was amazed. Our friend who was with us is a chef. She had the club sandwich on rosemary. She LOVED the quality of all of the ingredients used. She basically examined the whole sandwich since it was so good. She then said, “This sandwich is amazing. It’s delicious and messy. I’m going to make one amazing mess!” Another thing we appreciated was seeing so many other items for sale from local businesses, craftsman and artists. They really try to keep it local, and they do a very good job at it and everything else they do. Definitely...

I was privileged to eat here about a month ago. The place is delightful - the spinach salad was fantastic!!! The fresh produce that one can purchase looks beautiful and the little knick knacks that were for sale were so tempting!!!

The comments about the masks - having worked in food service, there is no mandate to wear a mask when preparing food. There is a mandate to have hairnets (if the hair is of a certain length) and gloves, the gloves depending on what one is preparing.

I do not wear a mask due to medical reasons - and I was not at all offended that the food preparers did not do so.
