9/22/23 Since my hubby started working from home several years ago, we do not frequent downtown Bremerton. That said, we were downtown twice in two weeks. Last week, while walking in the town, we came across a little Mediterranean store; unfortunately, it was closed at that time, so yesterday, after dinner, we noticed it opened and decided to go in and browse.
I felt uncomfortable taking pictures due to the small space and several customers at the time. But this little store was unique, with many items your local grocery store does not carry, which made it fun to explore. For being small, it certainly offered plenty of variety. A couple of things off the top of my head were stuffed grape leaves, baklava, a wide variety of cheeses, a nice variety of crackers and spreads, Olives and capers and so much more!
Of course, we had to purchase a couple of items.
They had several types of spreads/dips and many that sounded great, but ultimately, I chose "artichoke parmesan tapenade." It sounded unique and yummy. I will use it for an upcoming party I'm hosting.
The other item I have always wanted to try was "Turkish delights." those are for us, not the party, and they do not disappoint! I love Applets and Cotlets, and these Turkish delights are similar but have been around a lot longer. If you have never experienced Turkish Delights, you should, at least once.
The cashier was adorable, chatty and charming. I wish I had gotten her name. If you have never been to this little store, it's a must-see and explore. Also, it is a perfect way to support a locally-owned small business!
PLEASE remember to be kind to ALL living things!!...
