See the letter I wrote to the manger with no response. Home Depot Store #8518 2801 Wood Ridge Blvd, Brenham, TX 77833
Dear Sheena Stehlik
I am writing to formally address my recent termination from Home Depot, which I believe to be unlawful. My employment was terminated on Oct. 13 2024 over the phone of termination], and I would like to outline the reasons I believe this action was unjust.
After letting you know about was going on at Home Depot I sent you text and email and talk to you about in person. But you never look at any of the invoices or was concerned about customers service and asst. manager stealing money and return products.
I ask to be put on 2 week Administration leave for my safety.. But after the 2 weeks I was terminated. If you see something don't say anything...
After being harassed by employees and follow by multiple vehicles every day I got off of work and poison put in my vehicle and my vehicle shutting off and my phone hacked . The police was called and they understood about the organized crime that is going on at Home Depot and other retailer in Brenham Texas. I was asked to go to the doctor to get my swollen ankles checked out. I gave the police my statement and the poison. I get terminated....... and lies are made up because of the employees that are doing the stealing... You See Something Say Something...
This is the letter I sent you.. Subject: Concern Regarding Organized Crime Activities
Dear Sheena Stehlik
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious concern that I believe requires immediate attention. It has come to my notice that there may be organized crime activities occurring within our workplace at Home Depot.
While I understand that this is a sensitive topic, I feel it is my responsibility to report any suspicious behavior that could potentially harm our team, customers, or the integrity of our operations. I have observed specific incidents or behaviors that raised concern, such as unusual transactions, suspicious individuals frequenting in the store.
I believe it is crucial for us to address this issue proactively to ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and customers. I recommend that we consider conducting a thorough investigation into these activities and possibly involve the appropriate authorities if necessary.
Thank you for texting with me today about this and taking the time to consider this matter. I am more than willing to discuss this further and provide any additional information that may be helpful.
Sincerely,
Vincent Ofczarzak Sales Specialist
I believe my termination was in violation of Retaliation: If an employee is fired for reporting illegal activities, filing a complaint about workplace harassment, or participating in an investigation, this could be considered wrongful termination laws,of company policies.
I request a thorough review of my termination and the circumstances surrounding it. I would appreciate a response to this letter within 7 - 10 days to discuss this matter further. Before I have to take legal advice on how this was done very unprofessional and looking out for the employees that are involved...
Thank you for your attention to this serious issue. I look forward to your prompt...
Read moreHome Depot is much like many corporations that love to claim they can "Help You". What that really means is they want to portray the image that they do but, in reality, they do not train their employees to care and that is because they don't need to. They care about their shareholders only and THAT is who they want to help. This is the current stupidity and serious inefficiency I experienced with this company: Last week I ordered a 16' long gutter to be delivered through the online portal. I chose today to have it delivered since that is the only day I have available to wait. The driver shows up around 2pm in a 20' box truck and hands me a small bag of the misc. items that I ordered along with the gutter but no gutter. He said, "Ok, have an nice day." and began walking off. I stopped him and asked, "What about the 16' gutter that is on this list." He says, "It's all there". I said, "Nope, I need my 16' gutter?" and pointed out that it was listed on the packing list. He said he only had that one bag and then called someone back at his store where it came from, in Katy, on speaker. The person on the other line acted like they didn't know what he was talking about so after a couple minutes, the driver just hung up and told me to call some number on the packing list so he could go on about his day and not give a damn about my situation. I'm not mad at him, he wasn't trained or paid to give a damn, so why would he? I did mention to him that our local HD has this item at their store and he can just go get it and bring it here. He says, "That isn't how it works." Of course that isn't how it works, because that would be taking care of the customer, it would be efficient, AND making right on THEIR mistake. I call the number for customer support for deliveries. They couldn't help and told me to call the store. I call the store and was told the manager is on the phone and she'll call me back. 45 minutes later I call again just to be told, "She's in an all manager's meeting now." So I call back to the main "customer support" line again and then they reached out to the store manager for that store. After 20 minutes on hold she finally got back to me and tells me this: "You have to physically go to the store the items came from, in Katy, get a full refund and then place the order again. They have to have the CC you paid with in person." ... MY response - "Uhhh, what??!! I Ordered this through the online portal and you guys dropped the ball on delivering this item that I paid and additional $79 to have delivered and now you want ME to be inconvenienced for YOUR mistake and drive an hour one way to the store you shipped from?? That makes absolutely no sense. Why am I paying for YOUR mistake?" Her response was as expected: "I am sorry, sir, that is our policy." I did feel bad she worked for such a pathetic corporation and told her I wasn't mad at her but, this is ridiculous. Side note - I never yelled or used profanity with her or any other employees I spoke with. I know for sure HD won't ever see this or care because, again, they don't have to. They are a massive company and can easily stand to lose 1000 customers a day unnoticed because we have allowed these company's to take over these markets to the point we do not have many choices left to purchase certain...
Read moreThis has to be the rudest Home Depot I’ve ever been to. I came in at 9pm to roll 6 racks of plants off. I roll them off. Alicia told me they couldn’t accept them (no PO print outs required) because they stop receiving at 9pm, and because they didn’t have room on the back, and because a fork lift didn’t want to take them off in the sprinkling rain. Ok, I understand the rain, but 1.) I got there at 9 and nobody answered the door. 2.) I looked through the back door window and the floor was empty. 3.) there was a garden center employee walking around on his phone for last hour they were open. I watched him because I was parked in the back waiting. They could have let me roll them off and had the garden center employee roll the 6 carts to the garden center; it’s not like he was busy.
Furthermore, I walk up to the back door at 7 and a guy opens it and says you are not being unloaded until 8am. I said I’m unloading it, I’m rolling 6 carts off, no PO. He says “did I not just tell you that you are not getting unloaded until 8am?”
I’m not sure why employees power trip, making generic-overarching decisions and don’t think about what’s actually happening in the moment. Drivers don’t have hours to sit around, and I wasn’t asking them to anything except sign a piece of paper.
Horrible experience here. My guess is that the atmosphere flows down from the leadership.
As an owner operator, I won’t accept another Home Depot load. It costs nothing to be friendly...
