
I have edited my review to 1 star due to the customer service. I made an appointment for a full highlight and did not get it. When I contacted them Caitlin said that my hair stylist (Gaby Dossi) and I had made a "verbal" agreement when I got there to do something different. She claimed that we decided to do a "partial color correction" a service I've never even heard of. Which apparently is where the color correction is done in a similar manner a partial highlight. Of course I did not and would not have agreed to this.. but Caitlyn said to me that I did as if it was a fact. She also told me that an 80 minute processing time is normal as is your hair stylists doing foils on someone while you're processing, not the hair stylist being greedy. So, it has been 4 weeks since my appointment. Here are some pictures of what you can expect a month later if you ask for a full highlight, are kept in the salon of 4 hours and charged $300. If you hear the stylist say things like it will take you two visits to get where you want to be... that means if I do a bad job it's not my fault and you still have to pay for it without correction. So here it is... one month in to the full highlight I asked and paid for.. I don't even think it qualifies as a partial. If this is not getting ripped off... I don't know what is... Gaby and Caitlyn, in my 20 years of getting my hair down, I have never met two more dishonest and slimy people in the business. Parlour 3's prices may say high end... but there business practices and lazy performance demonstrates low-end trash. This is my full highlight in one month of growth. I had an appointment booked for April 18 and reached out to kindly ask if I could move it to May 8 (a date I saw available online). Katelin responded that she was holding that spot for another client and asked me to let her know if I needed to cancel.
I followed up by asking if she had any other May availability, just a question, not a cancellation. I never said I wanted to cancel my appointment. Despite that, my appointment was canceled anyway. I received an automated text canceling the service without any confirmation from me. Even if there was some misunderstanding, a quick follow up or clarification wouldâve been the professional thing to do.
Later, I was told she wouldnât be able to get me rescheduled because May was fully booked. But the very next day, she posted on Instagram saying she had openings in April and May and was accepting new clients.
Stylists absolutely have the right to choose who they work with, but if that was the case, why confirm my April appointment to begin with, only to cancel it without reason or honesty? If her calendar was truly full, I wouldâve understood. But clearly, it wasnât.
Being a loyal, respectful client should never leave you feeling like you werenât worth the effort.

I've got medium-short curly hair I've been trying to grow out. I'm just past the awkward phase, so I was unsure about finding a new stylist because I've had people cut too much off before, totally taking me back to square one.
Right away Derek put me at ease, and my trust was well placed because he's amazing. He didn't try to do anything crazy, just gave me a little cleanup to fix a little split ends and bring things back in balance so I can grow it out healthy. It's so much better!
He didn't take much length at all, but it looks so much better. He also gave me a tip on getting a shower water filter since there's a lot of chemicals in our water here and he's noticed it makes a huge difference. Great to get advice to get something for $30 that will make a difference plus he says he's noticed his skin doesn't dry out as much with the filter.
I'm so happy with my hair, and I'm so glad to have a new hairdresser! He's so easy to connect with and I felt like he really listened to me.
