Cinco De Mayo Mexican restaurant-Brentwood — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I had a couple of great experiences previously for lunch during the work week and decided to try a Friday night because it was in a convenient location. We were seated very quickly. We were served chips, salsa, and queso very quickly. At the same time our bar drink orders were taken. After 20 minutes of chips and salsa, with no drinks or water, we stopped and asked our waitress for an update and were told they would be arriving shortly. 15 minutes later, we still did but have drinks or water and asked for our check from the waitress. She delivered the check very quickly that included the drinks we had ordered, but were never served. We brought it to her attention and she had to have someone (assuming a manager) remove the drinks from the ticket. The corrected check was quickly delivered to the table without any comment from the waitress or the manager regarding the level of service we received. I assume our particular waitress was not overly busy, as displayed by her tendency to stand around and laugh with coworkers. I know it's cliche to state "as a former server", but as one I know that most mistakes can be corrected/forgiven by simply acknowledging/apologizing for the problem. Me and some friends called ahead because we wanted to watch the ball game. We spent a ton of money and wanted to watch the end of the game. They were quick to bring the checks out. We sat at the bar the bartender was great. But his assistant young girl came and cleared everything we had while we were in the restroom. Just super aggressive. Never going back back.!!! This is four star restaurant prices with fast food service. Charge the max and get them out as quick as possible. If you’re stuck with a group of people that are bent on going here, the only way to deal with them is to not put any tip on your check until you are absolutely ready to leave. If they come up because they want to get the settled check do not finish the check or put a tip or anything until you’ve finished talking or watching the basketball game or whatever because as soon as you have indicated a tip and turned in the check, they want you...

My family and I drove from Murfreesboro, looking for a good Mexican restaurant, with Cinco De Mayo being recommended to us. Excited to try, but It was so unfortunate that the day we chose to visit, the service was terrible. We were one of 4 tables with customers at the time. Seated right away, but we waited 10 mins to see a waiter. Then waited 10 more minutes just for drinks to come… for our server to just bring water for 2 out of 4 drinks because they ran out of the drink we ordered. never asked if we’d like a replacement. Once we ordered, food arrived in a decent time but we didn’t see the server again for a refill or to check with us and we had to track him down for our check. I understand things can be slow during busy times, but on a day where there are many employees just sitting at tables together and on their phones it’s extremely disappointing to have...
