MY EXPERIENCE TODAY WAS TERRIBLE! I was in the market for a mens chain. Something in a black stainless steel because I hear it doesn't irritate the neck. I have made some substantial purchases at KAYS in the past. 2 Very high end Movado watches and a womans Rose Gold Bulova watch. So naturally it was my first choice to go. I go to the store in the mall near my job. I see three salespeople. I see an older woman, a customer pointing and yelling at 2 of the 3 that worked there YELLING FURIOUSLY "DON'T YOU EVER TRY TO CONTACT ME AGAIN! YOU ARE DISHONEST!" She leaves Im wondering what happened but brushed it off as just some mean customer. So I look around and engage in friendly conversation with the saleswomen. I ask one of them if they sell dark stainless steel chains. She takes me to a few and I see one I like. It was on one of those stands in the glass along with a shorter version on the same stand. I tell her the longer one is the one I'd like to try on, I don't realize the other is a bracelet. Meanwhile there was another woman working there who looked and acted like their manager. As I'm talking to the saleswoman about price, me and the other chat. I ask how much the chain is. They tell me with 10 percent off it comes out to 170 something. I mentioned that's a little pricey for just a chain at Kays because Im familiar with their website. Anyway I buy it. I ask the saleswoman if I see the price online, cheaper, would they match it? She tells me I'd have to buy it online and bring it in to the store and they would exchange the original one. WHAT? How does that make any sense? Anyway I buy it and the woman who I thought was the manager is on the other side of the glass so I ask about movados. She shows me a couple I liked. I told her I'd come back for one another day. So I go home and went right to the Kays website. And to my suprise when I confirmed the product number with my receipt, I see it's part of a SET. The bracelet and chain were a set. And I paid about 170 for it without the set, just a chain. I call customer service immediately and they confirmed that I was right. By the way my receipt CLEARLY SAYS "22 AND 8 INCH SET." The customer service rep told me to call the store right away and make sure I go get the bracelet. I call the store. I had to remind the woman who answered the phone about who I was for about 10 minutes. She was acting like she didn't remember me. I was just there 40 minutes ago and noone was in the store. I explained the situation and she puts me on hold. She comes back and says yes the saleswoman who helped me made a mistake come get the bracelet. I live about 30 minutes from there. I called back 4 times to tell them I'll come tomorrow instead since I work up there. But noone answered. I had no choice but to drive back up there. When I got there they apologized and said she made a mistake. I told them to just return my purchase. This was obviously a scam to short me. When I addressed the other woman there as her manager she told me she isnt the manager but she is "like a supervisor" since she worked there for so long. She says she knows every price and piece of jewelry in the store unlike the saleswoman who was helping me. Ok so IF she was new and made an honest mistake, why are you not "supervising" or confirming the purchase was done correctly before ringing up the final sale? And she was present when the saleswoman and I were discussing the sale. I even addressed the bracelet. And when you enter the product number into the system, it tells you it's a SET. My receipt said it as well. Sorry but I don't believe for ONE MINUTE it was an "honest mistake." When I left why didn't anyone there call me and tell me they forgot to give me the bracelet? Sorry not sorry it's pretty obvious they were trying to SCAM me. KAYS JEWELERS hired scam artists. BEWARE. No wonder that woman was yelling at them. They were probably trying to scam her too. ...

My name is Linda Hook. I am writing to inform you about the OUTSTANDING customer service I received from Kay's Store Manager, Angie Santamaria, located in the Bridgewater Mall, NJ. Six months ago I came to Kay's and had the pleasure of meeting Angie. I brought to Kay's a couple of rings left to me by my mother plus my own wedding band. There was a highly sensitive and personal story behind these rings. Angie listened with a compassionate heart. Angie helped me incorporate all the rings and have them made into a ring of my own that I absolutely adore. Angie patiently explained every step of the way to me about getting my ring made. Additionally, Angie told me about Kay's lifetime warranty and appraisal service. I bought both of them. Also in understandable details, Angie explained to me about Kay's monthly payment plan which I am partaking in. I have worked solely with Angie and there is no one else I would want to work with but her. When I was with Angie, she gave me 100% of her attention. Sometimes Angie would understand what I was trying to say before I said it because she is so insightful. Angie made a situation that started out sad for me (before I came to Kay's) into a very happy ending. Now when I wear my new ring, I smile. Angie Santamaria is much more than a store manager doing her job. Angie is a real person who represents to the highest degree that she CARES about her customers. Kay's Jewelers is incredibly fortunate to have Angie! I am very grateful and thankful to Angie. She...
