I want to preface this by saying I never ever leave negative reviews and I have worked as a barista myself for the past 3 years. I had placed a mobile order about 5 minutes before going through the drive thru. When we got to the window and told them the name of the order, the person on the register immediately changed their tone and made a comment about how it was placed too recently and it’s not made but it will be ready at the window coming up. The way it was said was the weirdest part because it was so rude compared to how she said hello to us. (Mind you, there were 4 cars in front of me in line so they had plenty of time to make the drink?) I have been a barista for 3 years now and never have a problem when someone arrives “early” for a mobile order. I have ordered this drink close to 30 times and every time it has been delicious but this time it tastes like nothing. I got a matcha with strawberry puree and white mocha and yet somehow it tastes like plain milk? After the comment made at the drive through speaker about me being there “too early” it feels purposeful and rude. I paid close to $9 for this drink and they didn’t add the white mocha and barely added any strawberry because I came to the drive through at a time they perceived to be too soon? It’s just so rude and a joke when their job is to take orders and I had waited 5 minutes before going through the line. I was gonna let the rude tone through the drive thru go because I understand that they may be having a hard day or be frustrated in general but purposefully making my drink bad is just rude. I will not ever be returning to this location any time soon. I am 21 years old and never want to be perceived as a Karen but this experience was genuinely rough to not say...
Read moreI use to go to this Starbucks every day, so much so that the employees knew me by name and knew my order, the employees are GREAT! However either the owner or regularly used syrups, and this is before noon when I’ve personally witnessed their delivery truck about twice a week. I have managed a high volume store myself and if I can go to the grocery store and purchase the same brand coconut milk or oat milk, I would pay out of petty cash rather than lose customers. Numerous times I’ve asked for no ice or very very little ice and continually recieve a cup filled to the top with ice, when I remind the person at the window I ordered w no ice or very very little ice (which is also on the sticker on the cup) she then talks to the rude owner or manager and comes back to say they can’t do that, however I’ve been to a TON of other Starbucks around Michigan and NEVER have an issue! If you choose to go in to order rather than the drive through when there’s an extremely long line thinking that might be faster, your mistaken, I’ve stood there and watched the whole staff of 5-6 running around to get the drive through orders out while the inside orders continue to pile up, meanwhile the owner or head manager continues to sit at a table doing whatever she is on a computer, unprofessional! There’s a number of other issues however to not make this review any longer than it already is, I’ll end by saying a new Starbucks was opened near 23 on heartland square drive and it’s 10x faster, they are NEVER out of staple Ingredients, my drink is ALWAYS made the way I ask, and the staff including the manager is truly delightful and very cheery, I will continue to go to that one, bcause if I’m going to pay that much for my drinks, that is how an experience...
Read morePoor customer service and received the wrong beverages. My mother and I almost got charged full price for items that were clearly on sale. We waited around 10 minutes to order and then for the order to be corrected to the right price. After our order was put in, the male barista with black hair making the coffees was being chatty, joking around, and had no sense of urgency as we waited another 10 minutes for our coffee to be made... And it was made incorrectly. My mom ordered the cinnamon dolce latte, which was made just fine. But I ordered the new Smoked Butterscotch latte and got a cinnamon dulce instead (imagine if I had been allergic to cinnamon). I think that if the barista with the black hair was maybe paying attention and not babbling away that I might have had a better chance at receiving the correct beverage. There were also no cup sleeves for the drinks. Unfortunately, my mother and I had already reached the freeway, which is only a block down the road, when I discovered the mistake. We were on our way home and honestly I was looking forward to enjoying my coffee to end my already crappy day at work. The only positive part of this experience was the kind young woman who was tending the register. She was friendly and helpful. Sadly, I will not be visiting this...
