Blakley-Mitchell Co — Local services in Bristol

So happy to find this fine men's store and I must say it was quite by accident. My husband and I were in Bristol on another errand and saw signage somewhere indicating the offerings at Blakely Mitchell. This is a truly freshing shopping experience; a trip back to what defines impeccable service and greatly tailored menswear.

Rodger W. was absolutely fabulous as he "sized up" my husband quickly for the proper suit and then offered those wonderful, refining details that will make a man "turn the ladies heads!" After Rodger pulled a couple options, in the specified choice of color, then my husband was quickly able to decide upon a lightweight Italian styled suit in pewter grey and Italian tie by Piatelli.

All alterations, are of course, done right in the store as they used to always be! The biggest plus for my husband, who has no patience for shopping was Rodger's ability to find exactly what he needed in an appropriate amount of time and take all the necessary measurements for proper alterations without more trips somewhere else!

If the store's reputation is pinned on customer service as claimed on their website, then the business should be closed. I spoke with personnel (both an employee and the manger) in person and over the phone on two separate occasions and was abruptly interrupted each time with the conversations being cut short. It appears as though the staff wants to exude dominance over any conversations and have a controlling mentality.

Etiquette and respect appear to be of minimal value to this business. As a Bristol local that has had such great experiences with other small business, this is very disheartening. Unlike many other small businesses within the community, this business does not support local charities or organizations. This shop has a wonderful product selection and customer service. I was looking for a flat brim western hat and they had exactly what I needed and even worked with my budget to fit my needs. Staff was extremely helpful with getting me the right size and fit as well as even lint rolling my product after purchase. I rarely find this attention to customer satisfaction now a days in the age of big box stores. I will most definitely shop here again...
