The staff were very nice. The meatloaf was horrid - unfortunately, it was very bland, sort of mealy and the grease just kept leaking out and flooding the plate. The beans were unassuming, corn tasted as though it was canned. Mashed potatoes seemed instant. Blackberry cobbler was odd - it had what seemed to be raw pie dough sheets set on top of it - definitely not cobbler that had batter or biscuits. It wouldn't have been too bad had the pie dough actually been cooked. In addition, it seemed like the blackberry was actually the frozen triple berry blend that they sell at Sam's in the frozen section.

Although the previous reviews were positive, I wouldn't recommend Eatz under any circumstances. The worst part was that it was a chilly day and apparently they didn't want to run the exhaust fans. About two minutes after getting there, both my husband and I were struck by the smell of old, fishy oil in the air. When we left, we went home to change - our jackets and shirts were reeking just from being hung on the chairs. When we walked in the door of our house, two of our kids asked why we smelled so weird - just confirmation it wasn't something...

A friend and I along with her child went in for a early dinneron a Wednesday afternoon around 4:00 . The young girl working the floor was very unfriendly. She took our order got our drinks and food out than disappeared. We had no one check on us no refills on our drinks One of the chicken meals was cold not like it was just cooked but kinda like it was rewarmed. . We wanted to order more to go but when she did come back she started clearing the table without finding out if we were even done . Grabing plates that still had food on them. When she did say something it seemed we made her mad for being there. Her words "well I thought he would check on you " ( meaning the young man working there also.) She didnt want to get a go box for our food just gave us the check. We asked for the 3rd time for a box. Than got one . My friend and I were NOT PLEASED....

I would highly recommend the fried chicken the fried catfish the fries and the mac and cheese however I would not recommend the baked mac and cheese as it is super sweet and under seasoned I wouldn't recommend the cornbread it's really sweet and very dry and the banana pudding as it's more vanilla pudding with banana and wafers I would recommend the BBQ baked beans super tasty I would recommend the green beans really tasty with a bacon flavor I would recommend the sweet tea I will say it's not quite sweet enough but almost perfect. As for the service I didn't get the waitresses name but she was very friendly very patient and all around great. The building was very clean very nice the seats were a little tight but very comfortable and if you like sports this place is perfect for you I would easily say this is the best...

We visited Eatz for the first time the other night and we arrived about an hour before closing. The service was alright, but not exceptional. There were others that received their drinks before we did that came in after us. The food is wonderful though! I have zero complaints about that! The catfish is the biggest fillet I’ve ever seen! The cornbread is sweet (just like it should be) sweet tea is great, the bbq sandwich was huge and one of the best in this area! The only thing that disappointed us was they had ribs Thursday, Friday’s and Saturdays and we weren’t told about that :/ we definitely would have tried the ribs if we would have known they had them! But other than that, everything was superb! We will be back!

Pass on the RIBS platter! shew what a nasty non editable mess for lunch!! After reading 400 reviews thinking wow this must be a Great place to eat NO WAY dont walk Run from this place Ribs tasted like fatty tuff shoe leather bout pulled my teeth out trying to naw what little meat was on the bones off, jiffy cake cornbread, mac & cheese was cooked noodles with what tasted like squirt cheese mixed up, collar greens steamed no taste couldn't eat any of it $ 35.00 for a nasty fatty greasy mess that I vomited out before making it out the door!!

This place is a gem! We were looking for somewhere to eat while we stayed the night in Bristol on our way back to DC. If you love southern country cooking, soul food and extremely friendly people, stop here! You won’t be disappointed. The fried chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. The fried okra was also delicious and the banana pudding blew my mind! The restaurant was homey and clean and the food was all delicious and affordable. A charming restaurant in a charming town. We’ll be back on our next trip!
