Great place, I've been going there for years. My favorites are the apple muffin, apple caramel cheesecake bar, almond roll, and the Bavarian cream donut. Personally I'd say their crem brule and terimisu are sub par, and you want to catch there canololis when their fresh, but I've enjoyed everything else there I've tried. I don't go very often now due to them increasing in popularity in recent years(crowd) and personal health issues. There's talk of a second location opening, hopefully once that happens, they won't be as crowded. I will say despite crowd, service has always been great and managers seem to be treated well; i think that says a lot about a place. It used to be my favorite spot to do homework (free coffee refills, wifi, and late hours 🎉) or meet with friends for a treat because there's something for almost everyone. Unfortunately, it's too crowded for that now often times. My son had food allergies when he was younger, so didn't visit blackbird until he was 3, upon trying a sprinkle donout (for only a dollar and change❤️) he asked me "Does Sana Clause live here?" First time there so I picked out a little bit of everything. So far I've eaten half an apple fritter, half a "maple" donut and a macaron. The macaron is one of the best I've ever had!! The apple fritter was scrumptious!! The donut left a little to be desired.... It was 2pm so maybe they had been there since this morning. However, I ordered a maple and it was more chocolate than maple. Also, when I told the girl behind the counter that I was gonna get a half dozen donuts she just started putting a miscellaneous variety into the box. Wasn't sure if she was making up a box for a call in order or what but then she said I'll meet you down at the register. When I told her that I wanted to pick the ones I wanted she said "Oh, so do you want any of these that I put in the box?" I told her no and then as I was telling her what I wanted she said there was already a maple in there. Well if what she pointed to was a maple then they need to rename it because it has no maple flavor.
