I've been a loyal customer of Casa Tequila for over six years, but after today, I'm officially done.
I called to place a to-go order, and the woman who answered the phone sounded agitated right away. She asked me to hold, and I stayed on the line for over 25 minutes. The picture taken shows I'd been waiting 22 minutes and sent it to my daughter to let her know that she wouldn't be picking up fajitas on her dinner break.
What made it worse was that I could clearly hear background conversations, including a man asking multiple times, “Who’s on the phone?” and a woman casually replying, “A woman.” They knew I was still on the line but chose to ignore me. The call eventually got “disconnected” the moment I muted my phone to say something out loud without a single word from the staff. I would have hung up and called back but my past experience I've stayed on hold for 10-12 minutes and hung up then the line was busy and I kept getting a busy signal for another 10-15 minutes.
This is far from the first time I've experienced poor service here. Every time there’s an issue with an incorrect order and I ask for a refund, I’m told they won’t issue one, only a replacement meal. I've had incorrect orders time after time, have tried talking to the manager and assistant manager about the service and the cleanliness of the tables, menus, not getting utensils with our meal, etc. This is why I now order to go.
A few months ago I accidentally left a raincoat there on a Saturday night. I called once I realized and was told they had it and to stop by anytime. When I went in, the bartender said he gave it to someone up front, but after some half-hearted looking, they couldn’t find it. I was told to come back Friday when a manager would be there. I went back and was told they didn't have it, when I questioned why I'd been told on the phone they had it and why the bartender told me he picked it up and gave it to someone else to set up front I was told with an attitude that it wasn't there and that they are not responsible for items left.
This place has gone downhill. Between the dismissive attitudes, unreliable service, and lack of accountability, I can’t keep supporting a business that doesn’t respect its customers. Extremely disappointed as I've tried talking to the...
Read moreAte there this evening. Got there around 6 pm and there already was a waiting list! We were shortly seated and attended to by a charming waitress, Mari. She quickly brought our water and as we were ready to order, she took it. Food was delivered reasonably soon, especially since the place was packed (the wait staff wore masks but very few customers did, including those crowded around the inner entrance waiting for their tables). As for the food, the complimentary chips were perfect and the salsa great! My son ordered the deluxe enchiladas which included 5 smallish enchiladas filled with choice of meats, cheese or beans. These came with salad, guacamole and pico de gallo. I had a combo, allowing me to choose 3 from several choices so I could sample their fare (this was our first visit). The Chile Relleno was filled with cheese but there was so much ground beef that it was stacked next to the Chile. It was a little bland and had a slight cinnamon flavor. The chimichanga was packed with shredded white meat chicken. A touch dry so next time, I’ll order extra white sauce as the little sauce that came with it was minimal. It was tasty. My side of cilantro rice contained some peas and corn but very little cilantro. It was ok but could have used more cilantro flavor. My other side choice was guacamole which I slathered on the chimichanga which was a nice complement in lieu of white sauce. I brought the quesadilla home as this was a lot of food. Overall, the service was great (thank you, Mari!) and the food was made with quality ingredients. Several of the items, however, were more bland than I am used to in other restaurants or at home. I don’t think people go to Mexican restaurants expecting bland tastes so creating such a menu is not understandable.. If the chef or owners continue with these recipes, perhaps they can place some spice mixes on tables so we can season to our tastes. Not as good as flavoring during the cooking but better than nothing! I plan to return soon with my wife and son and see if...
Read moreThe inside of the restaurant was really pretty it was really nice clean but that is where the good stops we sat there 15 minutes before we even got to place our order. Our waiter Pedro was very rude and talked over us the whole time was trying to place my order I wanted beans and rice with my enchiladas so he wanted me to create your own plate and said that he would take care of me my sister got a monster margarita took us 20 minutes to get that and it wasn't even a full class when the food finally came to the table it was cold and wrong I had to ask for tea refills my silverware was dirty and we had to flag Pedro down every time we needed something and then he acted like he was annoyed when we ask for a refill by this time my sister was very upset so she only left Pedro a $2 tip she feels like a tip is earned with the type of service you give the service was not good so she only left him a $2 tip Pedro followed us up to the front and ask my sister if there was something wrong with the service when she tried to explain to him what was wrong again he talked over us and would not listen he told us the next time we come in we would be at the bottom of his list my sister told him not to worry about it we would not be back at that time Pedro told us to f* off and get the f* out and again that is why Pedro only got a $2 and in my opinion $2 was too much been trying to get ahold to the restaurant to let the manager know about this and have been unsuccessful casa tequila with waitstaff like this you may not be open long cost us over $50 for two people to eat not worth it. Went back today Oct 7th Abraham was waiter all I can say is he was awesome totally different then Pedro. Was right there with everything we need very nice and polite. Food was so much better then last time. Thank you Abraham and all the staff at casa tequila raising my...
