Five Below — Local services in Brookfield

The employees at this location were incredibly helpful with an unusual situation. About a week before Christmas, my husband and I went shopping for the final Christmas gifts for our daughters and extended family. We purchased a total of 3 bags worth of merchandise and left it in the car for a couple of days until we knew we could safely bring the haul inside without our kids seeing. When we finally brought it all inside, we realized we were missing some things. The 3rd bag had accidentally been left behind at the store! Luckily we had our receipt! The store manager was kind enough ON CHRISTMAS EVE to go through the receipt with me and individually refund the items I had highlighted as missing. She then gave me in store credit and I was able to replace nearly all the items we had left behind. She said they had kept the bag behind the counter for a day or two, but had to put the items back eventually. Completely understandable!

I share this because I feel any store could have easily said "Too bad, you left it here and we had no way to contact you so it's gone." They did not HAVE to believe us and give us store credit to replace the $90+ of merchandise we left behind. They did not have to help us on one of the busiest shopping days of the year. But they were kind, patient, helpful, and even apologetic for a mistake that honestly was nobody's fault. I will definitely continue to give this location...

I was appalled by the condition of the store! I worked retail for 30 years so I understand retail after Christmas conditions BUT this store looked like the store was bombed!!! Merchandise all over the floor!! Shelves heaped in disarray! We could barely walk through the store! They had so many projects started and left yet bringing out more merchandise, you won't see the floor until July! It was disgusting! We each bought a few rolls of wrapping paper but in trying to do so the employee walked away and refused to check us out! Standing there in disbelief, another employee called her back to the register and she said No! and continued walking away. The other employee nicely came and checked us out but talked about getting trouble for doing so. I have never encountered a disgusting experience at other 5below stores as we did last night at the Brookfield store. We will...

We came in today looking for some churro chips, the front desk lady upsidian I think that is how u spelled her name, she was the sweetest, very welcoming and friendly if I could rate her 5/5!!! , only one running up the front, we where getting her help and the manager over the walkie talkie was very rude and talked to her in a bad tone “why are u on the phone” when it was clear that she was helping us call other locations, and also even told her before on the walkie talkie that she was gonna call other location for us.
