Skin Care By Stavroula Award Winning Facial 21 years — Local services in Brookline

I was looking forward to doing a facial at this spa for the first time after reading all the good reviews. I booked my appointment online and also put down my card. I got the email stating that my appointment was booked, not confirmed and I will receive an email closer to the appointment date with the confirmation.

As the appointment date approached, I never received a email confirmation so I reach out. I called them and left a voicemail, messaged them twice via text, emailed them, and also reached out via IG. Never heard back and after trying for a couple days to reach out, I gave up. Their email said they will email me if they decide to cancel the appointment but I also never got a cancelation email.

Overall, I thought this would be a great skincare place as I been looked for a new skincare location closer to my apartment. Just disappointed that they left me on read and never got back regarding my appointment or my messages.

Edit: they reached out and apologized which was nice after not hearing back for so long. But instead of offering to rebook another appointment with me, they started listing reasons why all my messages were not delivered: they typed in the wrong number, my number was spam, the email on their website was old and did not forward to their new email, person was out sick. It started to feel like they were finding excuses or trying to make it seem like an error on my end. I would've accepted the apology and rebooked if they offered but with how messy the whole communication was, I did not feel comfortable letting them work on my face. I do not want to shame them or cause any issues, just wished communication...

I couldn’t recommend Stavroula any higher! Today I received my first facial from her and it was absolutely fantastic. She was completely sensitive to my comfort level, and Was both thoughtful and mindful while working with my skin. Although I had never had a facial before, I could tell that her wisdom of experience and ease of technique were second nature. This made for me a relaxing and warm experience.
