Shopping for bridesmaid dresses here is a bad idea apparently. I booked an appointment online for an hour and was told I would need to rush as the person booked to help me "might get a walk in" and she'd "leave me immediately if that happened" even though I had a reserved appointment and drove all the way down there.... walk-ins are more important so I was rushed and talked over when I asked questions. I probably should have left right that minute to avoid the stress from the shopping experience and the dress I ordered... The dresses in stock at my appointment weren't in multiple sizes so I was only able to "try on" a few dresses and not a single one was in my size. When the person helping me pinned the dress I ended up ordering it was pinned in a way that made the dress i ordered look and fit COMPLETELY differently than the one I tried on in store. Comparing the two pictures it's like a completely different dress. Everyone I've showed pictures to has been stunned they're the same dress. In store I even asked where the bust line was supposed to sit and the staff member insisted it fit where it was in the pinned dress (at bust line) but even the tailor I took it to when it arrived said that the line was designed to fit UNDER the bustline. Also, I told the sales person who was helping me that the size she was telling me to order was not big enough and she INSISTED it would be. I made the horrible mistake of taking her advice because she said she measured correctly and when the dress arrived three weeks later it wasn't big enough. The tailor can't even fix it and told me to order up. The sales person didn't listen to me and now I'm having to return and reorder the dress and I'm not even sure the new one will fit correctly either. This has cost me FIVE WEEKS OF WAITING before I can even begin alterations. What a huge mess! Terrible customer service that's cost me time, effort and a lot of stress. I'm never coming back here.

Jeff was amazing! Updating my review to 1 star after my dress arrived. I visited David’s Bridal on March 4th to purchase a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding. At the store, I was required to create an online account to access my order details, receipts, and other information. After trying on a dress, I selected my preferred color and size, and I was informed that a new dress would be ordered for me. On March 8th, I received a notification that my dress was ready for pickup. I picked it up a few days later, only to realize when I got home that the dress given to me was the exact same one I tried on in the store, which had a broken neck clip. Additionally, the bride was not satisfied with the color of the dress. Today, I went back to the store to return the dress, only to be denied a return because I didn’t have a physical receipt - even though all my order details were clearly available in my online account (which I was initially told was the way to access my purchase information). The store’s manager was extremely dismissive and unhelpful, shoving the dress back at me and rudely suggesting I sell it on Facebook Marketplace- I don’t even have a facebook account . I ultimately left the dress at the store and will be pursuing my full refund . This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service at David’s Bridal is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when shopping here especially when it comes to returns and exchanges. If a business requires customers to create an online account for purchases , orders and the likes they should honor that same system when processing returns. David’s Bridal needs to reassess their return policies and retrain their staff on professional customer service. I hope to resolve this issue soon, but I will not be shopping here ever again

I was nervous going to Davids Bridal because of a previous poor experience where I was a bridesmaid and not a bride. However, I had seen a gorgeous black and white gown on their website and since I wanted a black gown I needed to go try it on. When we got there they did not have the black and white version of my gown in store but we were able to try on a white on white version and order the black and white. This was risky but it all paid off! I ended up getting a beautiful gown that shocked my wedding guests. When the gown came in mother, myself and all of the staff in the store were just amazed with the quality of detail and how the black popped off the white! It was absolutely stunning and I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect for my special day. My husband and I got married at the Maryland Zoo and even strangers were shouting complements as we rode around for our photos! While the dress may look expensive it was reasonably priced under the $1,000 mark. The staff at Davids were very accommodating and helpful while trying on the dress. I had to return the first one I got to get a bigger size. Alterations went great they had taken out some extra layers of the dress to make it look less like a ball gown and more a-line. However, we thought they had sewn my bra into the dress but we did not realize until the day after the wedding that this did not occur and the bra was shoved into the bottom of our bag. This was a little disappointing considering we had paid extra for that to happen. Other than that I was very pleased with my experiences at DB and recommend going there for a bride on a budget who is looking for something unique -- the options of dresses has definitely improved in the last three years since I started looking at wedding dress. Im happy I was able to find something unique, affordable and stunning for my wedding day!

My first experience ordering the dress was a great time and the stylist was super friendly and helpful; the manager at this location is also very kind, helpful, and very sweet, however it's all been downhill from that first appointment and no one seemed to know what was going on.

First off, they ordered the incorrect dress. I ordered one with sleeves, and they ordered the dress without sleeves. I went back down there the next morning to find out how we could fix this and they said that they would put sleeves on the dress for me, cover the alterations, and they set me up with an alterations appointment for the next weekend because it would "take a couple weeks" and they "want to make things right." They then charged me for alterations (a hem and bustle) "because they would have needed to be done anyway" which I can understand, but isn't an excellent customer service policy. I was then told it would take them a month to do my alterations and that my dress would now be ready about 3 weeks before my wedding. I explained that this wasn't enough time and they told me it would be done on the 28th of February, but to come down the weekend before to try on the sleeves. I ended up getting sick that weekend, but called to let them know I could still come down the weekend of the 28th, and to see what progress they had made. I told them if they hadn't already they could go ahead and do the hem and bustle as I had already approved the work and had it pinned on me so we could stay as close to the new pickup date as possible, but when I arrived to try it on again with the sleeves they hadn't done any other work to it. I was then told to pick it up on the 7th of March.

I called on the 4th to let them know I would be there in the afternoon on the 7th and they said it wouldn't be ready then, but would be ready on the 14th, with no explanation of why the date was moved and no indication they were going to let me know that the date had been changed. My fiance then called to find out why the date has been moved, and the manager (who was actually very helpful) said she had corrected the date and that it would be ready this weekend. However because of all this confusion with dates I had to start looking at ready to wear gowns from other stores, and I had to cancel my bridal shower day of in order to start doing so. If they had told me at the beginning that the alterations would take a month and I would have to go through all this stress and anxiety with changing dates and getting different answers from every person I spoke to I would have just returned the dress then and saved myself the trouble.

I also have to say after picking up the dress that the alterations weren't great. Very large stitches and lots of loose threads on the sleeves so they clearly didn't actually spend a lot of time on the dress or put very much care into the work, I'm tired of dealing with this place so I'll just be refinishing the edges of my sleeves at home now so they don't look like they might come undone at any moment. The hem was also a little shorter than we had originally pinned but not by much so it'll have to do since I don't have weeks to wait for more alterations. Wouldn't buy anything from here ever again, and definitely would not have clothing altered here. Avoid at all costs unless you can exclusively deal with their...

Very disappointed in my recent experience at the Glen Burnie location. I have purchased multiple bridesmaids dresses, and my own wedding dress, from this David's Bridal location in the past and never had an issue.

Before going to an appointment to find a bridesmaid's dress, I tried on the most recent bridesmaid dress I had purchased at David's Bridal. It fit well, and I intended to get the same size again. I have never needed any alterations to dresses from this store before.

At my appointment, I tried on dresses in the size that I knew fit me. When it came time to buy my dress, the staff member helping us told me that I could not order the dress in the size that I had been trying on because "the dresses available to try on in the store are not true to size because they are stretched out from being tried on". I explained that I had just tried on a dress from David's in the same size at my house that morning, and I wanted to purchase that size so that I would not have to pay for alterations. She told me that I needed to size up and if I ordered the size I wanted the dress would not fit.

When I went to pay, I asked the person at the register to change the size and she said she had to go with what the other staff member had listed. Then, I was told that the dress was new and needed different measurements, and was measured in front of the entire check out line and my measurements were yelled out from the person measuring me to the person at the register. This was incredibly embarrassing.

I left feeling frustrated by the whole experience, embarrassed that my measurements were announced to an entire store full of people, and anxious that I would need to spend additional time and money on alterations upon receiving the dress.

My dress has now arrived, and does not fit. It is too large. Now I will have to pay for alterations, which would not have been necessary if I had be allowed to order the size that I requested. I hope that the staff will listen to customers in the future, and that I will never need to shop there again.

Update: I was offered a free alterations appointment after posting this review. However, I canceled it and found somewhere else to alter my dress after hearing about the experience of the bride whose wedding I'm in. She has been back to David's multiple times for alterations and has now spent more on alterations than her wedding dress cost. Her dress does not fit properly and she gets...

I came to Dave’s Bridle at the last minute in hopes to find a dress for my courthouse wedding! I was in panic mode! After trying on several dresses I finally found the dress that I deemed perfect! I was happy, super excited. The dresses I tried on was a size 12 so it did not quite fit. Back to panic mode. The stylist at Dave’s Bridle put in an order for a size 16 but then they said it would not ship until June! Then we decided to go for a size 14, I wasn’t too sure but time was of the essence. They said if they order the size 14 it would be in Feb 19th no later than the 20th! That was perfect considering my court date wedding was Feb 27th! Yes I know! So I said let’s give it a try! I said to myself I’m not eating any carbs or sugar and with that and prayer, everything will workout! The dress came in and I tried it on! Yall, when I tell you it was perfect! šŸ˜ the size 16 would’ve been too big I think! A new dress and no alterations and I can fit it! I was winning) now all I needed was to get it cleaned and pressed! I was supposed to have called to schedule my appt for that on Friday! Missed it and Alterations was not open on the weekend but I still was a able to schedule an appt for Monday the 24th! Stay with me y’all! It was no guarantee that this was possible but I’d rather try then not! I came in on Monday they took me back, I tried on the dress again and it fit better than it did the first time I tried it on šŸ˜ but there was a problem! The dress was in fact too long because every time I took a step I had to pull the dress out the way! The seamstress ask if I wanted hemmed and a bustle in the back so my dress would not get dirty! Hesitant at first because money and time was of the essence but God already worked it out! I paid to get my dresses hemmed with the bustle, cleaned and pressed and was able to pick it up the next day with a rush fee added! Listen and excuse my French but I didn’t give a damn! lol I just wanted it to be nice! Altogether I paid less than $1,000 for everything, Farmer bag included lol and I owe it all to ShonTosha, Diane, Tasha, and Aster! I appreciate you all for making my day a special one considering! I can say we really work well under pressure! Love you ladies to the moon and...
