We booked a weekend stay Friday, 8/11 through Monday, 8/14 and it was a horrible experience. The check in process went well, but that was the best part of the stay. We were assigned room 133 which should be taken out of service because it has a horrible roach issue. Not to mention the microwave oven almost caught fire while we heated up our subs. It was old, missing knobs and there was a hole inside which ignited the paper. it should have been taken out of service before our stay. Had I not been standing there, the whole thing would have went up in flames. We immediately notified the front desk and they said there wasn't anything that could be done until the following morning. Thankfully, the neighbors we nice enough to heat up our food for us. The first night once we turned the lights out the roaches came out. We called the front again and told them quite a few roaches were seen, there response was they were fully booked so they couldn't move us that evening. I was exhausted from working all day and driving from VA so I just didn't have the energy to find another place to stay so late. ||The next morning I went to the front desk to get additional towels and washcloths and to discuss the roach and microwave issue in person. I was told they would send someone to our room to spray and replace the microwave. I wanted another room, but was told there weren't any available. I'm not sure another room would have helped since roaches seem to travel from place to place, but the should have been more accommodating. We accepted the offer to spray which turned out to be a huge mistake. The first guy, who was nice came to replace the microwave. After it was replaced we didn't have any further issues. ||Much later that afternoon another guy came to spray. He was nice as well and apologized for the issue. He said with so many people living there, they have a hard time with roaches. I am a Homeless Advocate so once I learned there were so many people living there I tried to manage with the room hoping the spray would work. It was only temporary for me, I would be able to leave and go to my comfortable home, but they had to stay. That decision ruined my weekend, but all I could think about was the little boy and his family who lived right next door. ||Sunday, we couldn't take it anymore, the spray wasn't working so we went to Walmart to purchase some spray. Nothing was keeping the roaches away so I'm pretty sure the place has to be infested and will need professional Pest Control Service to keep people healthy. I know 2 stars doesn't mean much; however, cleanliness and the health of the guests should be a top priority.||It's finally check out day. We were told the Manager Andy Patel would be available upon check out. When I asked to speak with him concerning the roach issue, the young lady left the front desk, when she returned she claimed she went to call Andy, but she had a phone right there so that was odd. I believe he was there, but did not care enough about a guest experience to talk with me in person. She was authorized to provide a 50% discount to our cheapest night. ||I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here and will be contacting the Health Department to see if there is anything that can be done. If Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County or any other area in Maryland is using this place to house the Homeless, they need to visit and see the conditions people have to live in while staying here. There are many small children with their families and roaches are known to carry diseases. The Red Roof Inn franchise should not allow this location to carry their name, it's a disgrace!||Please...
Read moreI love this motel! My only issue recently is with the house keeping. I don’t ask them to clean my room or anything. I’m a long term person here. I clean my own room. They’re nice enough to provide me with a broom and I use a swifter to wash the floors. But the issue for the last week+ has been towels. We have asked REPEATEDLY now for fresh towels and every time we do, we get told that they don’t have any. Today’s excuse was that they were in the dryer. I said okay, that’s fine, I understand, it was no problem. I asked if they could please bring us some once they were finished. This was around 12:30pm? Well, we waited around until 6:30pm, delaying when to start our work shift in order to give them time but they never showed up. Again.Tomorrow, as much as I hate to do it, I’ll be going up to speak to management. We have no clean towels and I’m sorry, but the ones we have left are downright NASTY. I’m sorry, but I pay $2724 PER MONTH here due to the fact we’re having to pay by the night. If I can find discounts, great! But it’s still crazy expensive for essentially renting a room with a private bath because a studio apartment would at least have some sort of kitchen set up - even if not a full size kitchen. When you’re getting some of your essentially covered, ex - clean linen, toilet paper, tissues, certain soaps, clean towels, cups (for both hot & cold drinks), and other related oddities, then the expense makes it at least a little more worth it. But when I can’t even get clean towels and the ones I’m using are OVER a week old, shared between 2 people, also used to wash dishes, some used for daily cleaning of the room, and one used to treat the eye issues of my one cat (just keeping her eye clean and such until she’s better).I fully understand not having towels for a day or two or even three when it gets busy around here - which it definitely does sometimes! I’m a very understanding person. But communicate with me for one and two, there’s a reason expectation of patience you can expect from a paying customer because at the end of the day, that’s what I am. A customer. I don’t care problems. I keep to myself. I pay my bill. I’m respectful. I get along great with staff. I don’t know what it is with the housekeeping. In all honesty, if there’s some issue with the towels or linen, I’ll gladly wash it myself with my own stuff, if they’ll cover the expense to use the washer and dryer on site. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. But I’ll provide all my own laundry supplies - I have it already anyway and I don’t mind. But besides this issue, I haven’t had any others since being here. I do love it here very much. ♥️ And other then the housekeeping staff, I love all the rest of the staff as well! 🙂Hopefully tomorrow when I speak to the front desk, I can get this resolved and I’ll post an update about it in my next review! 😄 So keep an...
