First Watch — Restaurant in Maryland

I want to start off by saying. I am so thankful and grateful for this First Watch and its staff. Upon entering this restaurant, I'm greeted with such a warm welcome. Like I've been gone forever and was missed. The Hostesses Sky and Terry are very attentive when you first walk in. Those two, along with seating guests. Definitely go out their way. To remove fingerprints from the windows and doors. I watch them be on it soon as they notice the print clean it quickly. The atmosphere is very cool and calm on a weekday. Easy seating. Weekends are busy, sometimes a little hectic. Wait times can be long on the weekends because of so many guests. They have a long community table in which you can just walk in and sit at if there are seats available. They recently been through a lot of staff changes. So a lot of the servers there are new now. But some of my favorites are Jessica, Krista, and Marley. They bring nothing but smiles and laughter to the table. They are very informative on the menu. They often encourage me to try new things on the menu. They're very kind and work really hard. I see them making drinks and restocking along with being attentive and taking orders and bringing out food. To me, the food is amazing. Someone loves their job in the back cooking. I enjoy the trifecta the most and the million dollar bacon. The tables are kept spotless by Aracely she is really efficient about keeping those tables clean. I was finished eating. I got up to wash my hands. Came back to wait on my check. The table was wiped cleaned and reorganized as if I was never there. The managers Marquee, Marquis, and Stephon are really awesome as well, from small issues to larger ones. They are extremely effective at solving them. They often appear to handle the stress of a restaurant very...

Please note that I understand what a person orders and the time of day that they can come in will effect the experience. When I arrived, it was a few minutes before 11 am. They told me the wait was about 15 to 20 minutes and I was fine with that. I have been to a First Watch before and there was a wait, but the food was good. I finally got my text to come in at 11:22 am. I would say I was seated by 11:25 and ordered by 11:35 am. At this point, the wait was on. I ran to my car to grab a blanket as it was cold inside, and luckily I also had a set of headphones. After I ordered, I was not served until just over an hour of sitting. I'm not one that will just up and leave as I feel bad when food is being prepared, but I was very hungry. What upset me the most I would say was at least two groups of two people came in after me and they were both served their food before me, with one of those couples checking out before I even got my food. My waitress kept checking up on me and giving me updates, which I appreciated, but at one point, she said it should be out in the next 3 to 4 minutes. 10 - 15 minutes had passed and I still did not have my food. What made me finally say something was two gentleman sitting next to me, they received their food and they came after me. Their waitress was somebody else, but I just looked at her and was puzzled. Quick conversation with her and she said she would check on my food. A minute after that, my food miraculously appeared by my waitress. So my waitress may have forgotten about me, but that was my experience in today. Like I said I understand that when you come during a busy time, waits can be long. But from the time I pulled in and the time that I left, that was almost 2 hours. Also, I was a...

The food and service at this location was phenomenal and beyond normal expectations. It was my first time dining here with my boyfriend, and it was clear that they were short-staffed and busy. We had Samantha as our waitress and she was very courteous to us while serving our table. I ordered the Biscuits with Turkey Gravy, and I absolutely fell head-over-heels in love. I convinced my boyfriend to take me to the same location on the next day, and Marqui, the restaurant manager, wholeheartedly listened to my complaints about the general service we had experienced on that day. My boyfriend and I had been ready to pay for our meals after expressing our complaints to another waitress, but she immediately brought our waitress and Marqui to resolve the dispute. We were very surprised by the staff's initiative to provide good service even after our meals had been finished. I was so satisfied by their response and service that I convinced my boyfriend to take me there for brunch again, today.

Today, we felt very welcomed by the hostess who remembered our faces (after appearing three days in a row I suppose) for reservation, by the waitress who took the initiative to bring Marqui to resolve our dispute, and by Brandy, our waitress in service of our table. When we finished our meal, Marqui came to check on our recieved quality of service. There is nothing else to say but excellent and beyond expectations.

The service provided by the staff at this location is definitely beyond industry standards. It is clear that the staff here work together to provide a hygenic, customer service-supportted environment.
