This plaza is awful! Not to mention it is getting worse. If you are over by the Salon area or Big Lots, you are fine. It is every where else that makes me resent going through there. Pulling into the plaza by Chuck E Cheese is a nightmare. With it being so close to Ordinance Rd, you literally have to drop your speed to a crawl and watch like a hawk because the kids come running out into the road with their parents and as usual the pedestrian has the right of way so they do not even look, they just walk. The people who park at the front door cause chaos among others trying to get into the plaza. Then, the Dollar Tree and Navy Federal are what make my blood boil. Whoever is responsible for the front of the stores and roads, need to get more involved. The cars lining up in front of Hair Cuttery to the Aldi are actually blocking the view of drivers who need to see if vehicles are coming from the opposite direction. The other cars cant move, people double park, some cars have people in them while others are parked and emptied. People are also lined up down the sidewalk and in the road trying to get to the ATM. Cars who are waiting for shoppers and the bank customers could park the whole 15 feet away from the doors in a parking space, then when they see their person, drive up to pick them up but no, they'd rather cause back ups because they can and no one will say anything. I cant even tell you how many times I have almost been hit because the road is not clear and you cannot see past these parked cars. It looks so trashy and really makes that plaza an unpleasant visit. I will turn in between Navy Federal and Aldi to go to Starbucks and come Thursday through Sunday, its a disaster. You have to inch your way into the roadway and hope the other vehicle is going slow enough to see you are trying to see amongst all the cars and people. Someone needs to start patrolling the area or have security come in and move them along. Do not even get me started at...
Read moreThe shopping center is recently renovated and has built-up a good mix or stores. You have Big Lots, AC Moore, Petco and Dick's as it's big anchor stores. But also has Aldi and K&G Superstore (men's clothing) taking up two big spaces. Strangely enough it even has a Hampton Inn. Restaurant wise, it has a Starbucks, Qdoba and Pie Five Pizza Co (think Qdoba but pizza) in a small building near Tichie Highway and a Panera facing Ritchie Highway next to Alfred Angelo Bridal It also has a Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet near Big Lots and a Chuck E Cheese at the Ordnance Road entrance. Other than the Hampton Inn, another unique store is the International Salon, which inside is many small private owned salons. Otherwise you have a Game Stop, Dollar Tree, Catherine's, Verizon, Navy Federal and Hair Cuttery in the center. It's a good mix or stores. The Shopping center is kept clean. Parking is more than ample. For the most part you can park once and visit multiple stores without too much walking, of course it depends which stores you are visiting. If you ride the bus, it is on the 14 bus line that goes from Patapsco Light Rail to downtown Annapolis. Overall, a good...
Read moreI grew up coming to this shopping center. And it hasn't changed much since then. It's your typical Glen Burnie shopping area. Close by, affordable, and pretty "ghetto". Salon Plaza is for anyone wants a good cut and/or style beyond Haircuttery's ability. MELISSA with "Stylez With Pizzazz" is one of the few things I truly miss from The Burnie. Tell her Charlie sent you. The Navy Federal, Catherine's, and Big Lots are typical versions of those businesses. Aldi's is a decent grocery store for certain items but not for others, but can get alot for your buck. AVOID THE CHUCK E CHEESE if you love your child. Not that any of them are stellar, but the Glen Burnie one is especially sketchy. Other than that there's not much. The Starbuck's is the only business in the front section that doesn't seem to change every few years. And the traffic and parking are always dangerous due to it's...
