******FRESH REVIEW FOR 2023!!***** KEY DETAILS: Dinner for adults, 16.99 (discounts for seniors and young children, drinks not included [2.99], made to order hibatchi included, sushi bar included) THE GOOD: Great variety and quality for the price - friendly staff too THE BAD: Not much, avoid Sundays - mobbed, but that in itself is a compliment *****UPDATED PHOTOS FOR 2024!******* Hi All, If you can't tell from the immediate tone, I LOVE this place. As a proud Marylander, I go here 2-3xs a month. I go because I leave full and satisfied knowing it was money well spent. They have a delectable variety of dishes with plenty for all preferences and diets. Whether you are strict low carb, looking for healthy options, or just don't care and want to savor it all - this is the place. Let me say, if you love seafood, one modest plate of huge hardshell crabs, crawfish and mussels alone will easily cover the price. They have a fairly stacked salad bar with sauces and desserts (fruits, cakes, pudding and more). They have a fantastic made-to-order hibatchi bar, and of course all the favorite Chinese take-out stars. Like fried chicken and shrimp? Don't waste your money at chains, they have it here and it's better. Not looking to sit? Save some money with convienient take out. Finally, the staff is very friendly and they work hard to keep your table clear and the restaurant clean. Enjoy! I do - every time. Give Grand Habatchi in Glen Bernie, MD a try. For the price, it's a great value and a fun dining experience for families of all sizes.

We just happen to be in town even though we moved from this area about 6 months ago we were over here at a doctor's visit and decided to stop in and give it a shot, the service is always great here but the food is not always so great and today it was dry and cold and I had kind of wished I had eaten off the grill cuz that's a lot more fresh and hot and I didn't really do that until the end and the desserts were kind of dried up as well and they also had gnats flying around them which wasn't cool ,I did however have some crabs, they weren't too bad but they didn't really smell that great lol :( they sort of smelled like ammonia just a tad but of course they don't cook them in Old Bay so that makes a difference and also the mustard inside the crab was really dark(SEE PICS POST ALONG WITH THIS REVIEW) which means they were either overcooked or possibly could have been going bad who knows? I've been coming here for a long time and the foods have never really been top grade as far as I'm concerned ,you can get a better meal for the same money at Golden corral ! and get hotter, fresher food hands down! Just depends on what you're in the mood for :-) it's usually a roll of the dice with these kind of places, they're either bad or they're good, one day they're on top of their game and some days you would think they didn't care what the food looked or tasted like! Lol :-)

It's been years since I have been to this Hibachi Grill, it was so nice to have a buffet again especially after covid. The restaurant offers plenty of good simple Asian buffet food. They offer lots of seafood options especially for lunch. It was great to see they have kept the prices for lunch low and about the same pre-covid. The restaurant could use an update and get a fresh look but considering the times and how hard restaurants have been hit, I can over look the decor. I did notice one change they now have a 2 hour limit but for lunch that seems fair. I would like to remind people that the wait staff works hard and do not forget to leave a small tip. I notice many people didn't tip the servers. One thing I would like to see is a nicer dessert section and maybe soft ice-cream. Definitely will be back soon. Update 1/27/23 The staff was friendly but I noticed a change in the food and atmosphere, the tables looked dirty, the staff did not clean them or collect plates quickly. The guest next to me had a filthy table and not once did they clean up. The food area also needs a full time worker wiping tongs and area around the food trays. I have to say I was disappointed with this visit.

First, I would like to say, this was my first experience with this specific location. My family had a baby shower planned Saturday, July 20th that sat under 20 adults. Which originally we were told we would have a room available for this event, we were sat in the main dining area with other individuals that were not part of our family or party. Secondly, We were on the schedule to be present at 3 p.m. I was personally there at 2 p.m. to ensure there was a smooth operation and for decorating. I paid for myself, my son, and his wife. Every guest was to pay for themselves individually. Because the servers were having problems with comprehension, myself, my son, and his wife were accused of not paying for our food. (I have a receipt on the credit card) and insisted that we pay again. When I refused, and tried to make them understand they were mistaken they started filling our cups with drinks we did not order which was deliberate. Example... I had a diet drink, they put in regular. My sister had a sprite, they filled her cup with coke. Thirdly and finally, We were there after 5pm. We all paid for our buffet seats but we were told we needed to leave because it was past 3 hours. We had yet to open the baby gifts or the cupcakes. We insisted on staying and we did not leave until an hour later until we completed the baby shower events for the evening. The service was terrible yet gratuity was added to my bill automatically and I don't think that is fair. I will be putting a complaint in with the credit card company after I am finished writing this review. It was apparently dinner rush time which is the real reason why we were rushed to leave and it was fairly obvious that we were not the right culture race as the individuals who being seated from the waiting line. We are a mixed race family and with that said, we have never felt so unwanted and we were treated poorly. We will not be returning...

The stuffed baked potato was awful. It literally tastes like bad product. Once bitten into it produce a smell that others at the table could smell. The servers were I assume training people because I saw a lot of new faces there and they had several messed up drink orders. Example I ordered a fruit punch and was given a sprite so I ended up not having a drink for the first half hour of my visit. The sprite itself was watered down horribly as well which may have been the ice melting in it. My fiance's drink was flat and lacked any carbonation so she also had to get a new drink. I watched about 5 tables send drinks back due to them receiving the wrong drinks or the drinks being bad. The food choice here is pretty consistent, some items are a hit or miss. Example some days the crab Rangoon has a sour taste to it others it doesn't. Their fish is usually dried out and their stuffed baked potato and their stuffed sea shells I'd avoid entirely. Both use to be good but they change what goes in them and since then the quality has just gone down hill.

The property of the restaurant issue has issues as well. Several times I went and it lacked any air conditioning even during very hot days. There is almost always a bucket on the floor by the sushi bar because even when it doesn't rain it appeared to leak. Some of the ceiling tile looks to have water damage. The bathrooms are another issue. Often we've gone and they had to have the bathroom doors open just to air them out because they stunk so bad. The bathrooms aren't inspected frequently as a result trash can pile up in them such as used paper towels, urine on the floors, soap dispensers empty etc. This place use to be so much better but sadly it has...

We ate here last Wednesday and I will never go back to this place again!!! Their server is very rude and argumentative. I asked if she can change my glass of soda because there are 3 straws in the glass of soda the she served to me. I'm only using 2 straws at that time so I fear that it might be contaminated so I requested to serve a new one. And then she became argumentative and said it's already been there. Okay, granted but I still want to serve it in a new glass. And she continued to attacked me with a loud voice that everyone can hear. So I went to the counter before we leave but unfortunately, there is no manager on site. The cashier gave me the manager's number. So I called the manager on Thursday because I am still upset.

So I started my line with "We ate at your restaurant last night..." But surprisingly he cut me off and said" I don't want to hear any complaints right now. It's my granddaughters birthday today. Call tomorrow."

Yup. I understand they have an occasion but I think there is a better way to handle your customer right?

Nope, don't go there. They should improve their service first. And let's start in smiling. Well, to be fair, the Spanish employees are all smile but the Korean server, they don't know how to smile. It seems that they hate their job.

I hate this place and will never come back. There is a way better Hibachi Grill. It is in Laurel. Large selection of foods and taste better too than this Hibachi.

Service is poor and it's start with the management. They don't care. They just want our money. The don't take pride on what they do.

Well, they...
