Big sprawling big box type of place where you don't want to walk from point to point because there's just no… point. It's a brutal non-landscape and it's absolutely tragic anyone can believe these monstrosities are definitions of town centers. These things are hell for the human psyche- we didn't evolve to function at a scale like this. They're environmental hells- they reflect back tremendous quantities of heat and prevent normal water absorption and distribution. Pavement was demonstrated to be a huge factor in Houston's destruction; you can't pave over everything and not expect damage.
I saw nothing that made me think there could be any safety concerns but if there were, how is a place like this a long term solution? We're not thinking here, people. We need to start thinking smaller, not bigger. I'd never celebrate a thing like this. I dread it. I use them when I have to and I loathe them. Give me the normal size of a place like Boulder- the attitude of reusing a building or making do with the same space for 30+ years, where I can park and walk to 2 fabric stores, hardware, home Depot, 3 liquor, 3 grocery, many clothing, many restaurants, many shoes, many salons, … or take the bus and do it. Includes plenty of parking without ridiculous...
Read moreNot a bad place shop. The shops were built fairly recently and are in good condition. Cleaner than most around town. It’s a very quiet clean and located in a low crime neighborhood. There aren’t many gang members lurking. The King Soopers is packed with specialty items and they offer produce that are only found in the newer larger King Soopers in the Denver metro area. The Pet Smart is one of the best that I have been to. They have a great staff very helpful and friendly. Broomfield is one of the better areas to live in the Denver Metro Area but it is kind of far from the city center. Although you will find plenty of acceptable shops, restaurants, hotels and amenities. It’s a little more on the upscale end in comparison to say Aurora, Englewood or Lakewood. It is a little more established then Parker and equal in status but just as far from Downtown Denver. There aren’t many homeless camps or people flying signs for money. I believe the Broomfield police stay on top of that because it’s...
Read moreCustomer service is lacking significantly. Every time I go to this store I get followed and harassed and as I go to self check to scam my items I've got a clerk all over my shoulder trying to see what I'm making to eat tonight if you know what I mean! I recently went to this store to try and return some chicken that had spoiled after 2 days in my fridge. Had my Reciept, had my Sooper card number and was still denied an exchange because the dollar amount was "too high". That's what I thought the lady was when she said no, too high! Unfortunately I had to call the manager over and fortunately he quickly resolved the problem. However I feel like if I've got the necessary documentation it should never be a hassle to get...
