From a 5 to 2 in a few years. My cat, Momma Kitty, was diagnosed with a tumor less than 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was told she had a month or two with care. A few days after the visit, I called about her seeming to be in pain, laying on only cold surfaces, ripping her hair out in clumps, hiding, etc... and was told to stop her thyroid medicine. Let's see if it's that. A week goes by with more bald spots. She laid on ice packs or in the tub for relief. My appt last Thurs was supposed to be a 2 week tumor follow-up, more steroids, etc... We had 1 car at the time. I said, "I need to be done by 10 am." They said 30 mins tops. I came in 15 mins early, so they'd have 45. I watched all dog owners be instantly given a room while I sat and sat and sat. They took her back about 9:50 for a tech appt, not even a Vet appt scheduled. Like, wtf? Cancer. Tumor. A tech? Finally, a vet wants to talk to me. It's after 10. I'm supposed to be home. I've been there an hour. They say they'll only give a topical pain med, and it may make her spacy. They need to give her prednisone, too. I say I have to leave. Imagine my surprise when it's 10:35, my cat isn't out, nobody is at the front to ask what's going on, and I have to leave, drive my husband to work, return, and she's STILL NOT READY. I sat in the lobby another 45 mins watching dog after dog come in, get weighed, treats, a room, checked out, and go home. My cat finally comes out. She's freaked out more than any other time in her life. She's hiding, scared, jumping around in her carrier. She wasn't herself. I get her home, she hides, and comes out foaming from the mouth. I thought the pain meds were OD'ing her. They said it's just nausea, probably. Take her to urgent care. Mind you, I'm already $800 deep in 2 weeks at this point. e Urgent Vet says it's just side effects of pain meds. Watch for certain behaviors. She gets calmer but refuses to come out, to eat, to drink, to get her favorite thing... cuddles. She walks out the next morning slow sliding down our stairs with black goo coming from her mouth. She died a horrific death in my arms less than 24 hours after her appt. Black stuff all over the carpet and sofa she was hiding behind. All over the stairs. I was hysterical when we brought her in the hospital. She had just passed away. They're having me sign forms while I'm barely in the room. I keep asking about the paw print. They say "sign here if you want an extra one, $20" and I said only 1 is okay, but I'll pay if I have to. "No, one is included." I can't see, I'm crying non-stop. Sign, leave, and today I'm there again waiting. I have her ashes, and they're trying to find a paw print or a reason it's not there. They show me that where it says additional paw print, $20 is the same place you have to sign to get one at all. Even though I asked about it a dozen or more times, they didn't do it. I got the feeling they don't really care so much about cats anymore. I'm having a hard time forgiving any of the events of the past week and this hospital. I'm not sure if it's the staffing changes or just a focus on profitability over love & care. Regardless, I'll never see her sweet paws again. The main thing I wanted. There's no handwritten card. No love. Just covering their butts.
2021: Caring, kind, loving, and they saved my cat, Ruby. She passed in July 2021 lovingly. They got me her paw prints right away, sent a personalized, handwritten card, and a small box with...
Read moreI will say this our dog is a social butterfly. She LOVES everyone and is very adventurous. She hates it here. I have to drag her in. This last visit sealed the deal that we won’t be going back. Our dog has really bad allergies. I called them one day and said “she is so miserable she really needs her allergy shot” They said “we have no availability to see her” I said “you are her vet, I’m telling you that she scratching herself raw and is whining but you can’t have someone just give her a quick shot” They put me on hold and said we can see her for a quick shot. When I was there, we rechecked for 90 days for another shot. When I went in last week for her scheduled shot they said “she has to do her wellness check today as well” I said “I only took time to run her over here for a shot. No one said she needed an entire appointment. I asked, can she get her shot and then schedule for later in the week when my husband can bring her as I have another appointment” They said “no, today is her one year wellness, Sorry no one told you but we won’t give her, her allergy shot unless you agree to the wellness appointment now. People just don’t come back when they say they will” 🤦🏻♀️ So I had to cancel my business appointment so I can now stay just to get her, her allergy shot.
I find this place very difficult to work with. Its just not a cozy place and when you bring your dog who is uncomfortable in you want the service your were originally scheduled for. We are looking...
Read moreThey are very nice and helpful. Took my friends dog in to be seen with NO appointment no call just showed up. However we believed her dog was dying and we told them that and they took advantage of my friends love for her dog. When we left (cause this was during covid and we had to) she left them 500$ and said please help my dog. She went back to get dog they charged her another 400$ and then her dog died 2 days later!!!! Not cool! They kinda sorta did the same thing with another one of her dogs before that one passed. The other dog had cancer and we were there to put down when it comes up that they are one of the only vets in town that can do this special kinda of chemo that her dog of course needed. Granted they were kinda up front about the outcome which wasn't great but they still played on the love she has for her animals and of course she did it which was 700$ or something the first time them over 500$ every other time (which was once a week) and of course the chemo caused some other issues and her dog died a few months later and she was who freaking knows how many hundreds of dollars!!! Again not cool to play on the love that people have for their animals knowing they will do whatever it takes to save their life when you know the only thing that is gonna make it is your...
