Really not the best experience. Pulled up to see they had parking spots for mobile ordering. I went to order on their app, and was shocked to see it said, "This location doesn't offer Order ahead." So no big deal, I went and got in line. The line moved fairly quick. I got up to the speaker box, the woman spoke WAY TOO loud. When I started ordering, she had a very condescending attitude. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, I'm a regular person. So when I try to order something and am met with the attitude of, "No that's not what that is." or "No that's not how you order that." or "We don't have that...or that." and "We don't have that yet." It's really discouraging and makes me not even what to bother with it anymore. I took care of the first drink which was suppose to be an iced Vanilla coffee, which I thought would have some milk in it, but I was wrong. My second drink, I started to tell her, "I have a secret menu item; Cinnamon Toast Crunch frap." Her response was, "Um yeah, I don't know what that is." I was a little baffled and just told her, "Ok, well I have the ingredients to give you." She sighed a little and said, "Yeah ok go ahead." So I started listing, "Venti White Mocha Frap, it says 2 pumps of Caramel Dulce syrup." She goes, "We don't have Cinnamon Dolce Syrup." I said, "Oh, do you have Hazelnut Syrup?" (this was the next item) She says, "No we don't have that either." I just gave up and just said, "Ok then I'll just take a Grande Caramel frap."
I can be understanding that hey you guys don't have the items in stock...but the fact that there was NO courtesy in her tone. It was like I was a nuisance to her and bothering her, for trying to get what I wanted. The experience would have been a little less harsh had she said, "I'm sorry ma'am, we don't have those items. My apologies." But instead I felt that I was a fool for not knowing what items were in stock and what weren't. I would have said something at the window, but #1 I didn't want to hold up the line. and #2 I could see her right there next to the window. I didn't want the confrontation. Unfortunately, I didn't get a receipt (it wasn't offered) and I never got her name. But I was there just 30 minutes ago at 8:20-8:30. The guy at the window, named Jack, was very friendly and very courteous. He is the main reason I didn't make this a 1...
Read moreLast week I would have given this Starbucks 5 stars. 90% of the people are pleasant and kind- and always super accommodating. Yesterday was a different story. I ordered a venti Frappuccino with two shots of espresso and extra ice- asked for it in a trenta cup. Which— I order a tall Frappuccino for my daughter and ask for it in a venti cup ALL the time.(( it’s easier for her hands to get the venti cup out of her cup holder without spilling)) never ever had any issues. So I ask for this drink- and they tell me unfortunately they can’t do that because “their manager doesn’t want them doing things like that for people anymore”.... they’ll give me the cup on the side and I can “pour it myself” and come back to “talk to the manager.” I worked for Starbucks. Was MIT, and partner pillar for Starbucks in Arkansas. This isn’t okay. If I’m asking for my drink in a larger cup- it’s for a reason. The extra shots of espresso and ice make my drink a little thicker and won’t fit in a venti. I paid for the extra caffeine. I want it. In a trenta cup. Worried about inventory? Add a trenta water cup to my order and double sticker the cup like every other Starbucks I’ve been too does. Starbucks is about customer satisfaction and kindness. You failed yesterday Starbucks. Also- I’m 7 months pregnant so I’m extra in my feelings about the fact you battled for me for three minutes over a CUP. Also- I tried to call and speak to a manager when I was told to call back because it was too busy. No number was taken or my name. So yeah- now you get...
Read moreThis has slowly become the WORST starbucks location in the West Valley. I go regularly, as it is close to home, and over the past months the store has taken longer and longer to make drinks. At almost any other location, and this one used to be as fast, I can order and receive my drink within 10-15 minutes. Now it can take over an hour and a half. I have simply gone home on occsion to return for my drink later.
The staff at this store has been slowly whittled away since December - probably to meet labor quotas - so much so that even though the staff are extremely capable, they simply can not keep up with the amount of business anymore, and whoever is in charge at this store doesn't care that my 10-15 minute order can take upwards of 90 minutes.
Today, there was some kind of candle making class going on in the lobby, and the staff were struggling to keep up with the regular business, let alone this event that they were clearly not staffed for. Save yourself an hour, drive 15 minutes down the I-10 and get your drinks elsewhere. Whoever is in charge of this store should be ashamed of how they allow both the staff and their customers to suffer instead of making any attempt to address the obviously unacceptable wait times and the vicious understaffing that makes us pay more in time than money.
Again, go to any starbucks closer to Phoenix and you will save time over going...
