EDIT: after my previous review, the general manager reached out to me and gave me a call. he sincerely apologized about the last experience we had at his restaurant and even took it upon himself to invite us out again for dinner and covered the whole table (with 2 drinks!) i felt like the way he reached out and spoke to me says a lot about how he really cares about the customer experience and he even went as far as to let me know they went in and did new cuts of steak to make sure we did not have the same kind as before. he showed real integrity and I can tell he truly wanted us to have a 10/10 experience. when we got to the restaurant we did not have to wait for a table at all; the staff was very friendly and gave us the space we were looking for! the food was amazing and the drinks were delicious as well! i’m so glad that he reached out to us and made this experience as great as it was! i would highly recommend this kbbq spot just based on how the GM handled this situation alone, and the meal was incredible tonight!! thank you Iron age for caring about your clients!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

i came here for my 26th birthday as i loveeee kbbq have been at least 20 times to various locations but tonight was so disappointing. we got here and were told they are closing early (100% understood as things happen) and we had about 45 minutes to eat (def enough time for us to have a few rounds of meat), when we got sat down everything was there for us like the glass noodles, salad, rice cakes etc which was nice. as soon as we ordered our first meat which was steak, our server asked if we knew they were closing early and we said yes. he brought the steak and proceeded to cook it for us (we like kbbq because we can cook it ourselves) and the steak was absolutely terrible. to me it was nothing but gristle and hard pieces i couldn’t even eat it at all. then we ordered pork belly which is my favorite and the whole time our food was cooked for us and the pork belly had no flavor. i felt like we didn’t even have time to enjoy our dinner and talk to each other because we could not cook the food ourselves and had our server right over us the whole time. we even asked if they were closing early for maintenance and he didn’t answer. i’m not sure if he just didn’t hear us or he didn’t want to reply. he was a very kind man and attentive but we do like cooking our own meats and let him know we have been to kbbq many times before so we are familiar with cooking things ourselves. the last meat we ordered (would have gotten more but we felt extremely rushed) was the Hawaiian bulgogi and it tasted like butane from the grill. even on the drive home we tasted it still in our mouths as we were talking. 100% do not blame the server for the quality of the food or the fact they were closing early but we are very disappointed with our experience here tonight. we love kbbq but tonight was just not a good experience nor was the food up to...

This is the new location of Iron Age at the Mall of Georgia. I was going to drive to Duluth when this appeared on my GPS and I had no idea. They recently opened so not so many people know about them yet, but they are located in the same shopping center as Tacos and Tequilas at Financial Center way.

We came for lunch and went for All You Can Eat (AYCE) which is $18 per person for lunch (Mon-Fri 11am - 2:30pm), and $25 for dinner.

They had many meat options such as Lemon Chicken, Soy Chicken, Pork Belly, Spicy Pork Steak, Soy Pork Steak, Beef Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, Hawaiian Bulgogi, and more. Also many banchans such as Spicy Rice Cake, Vegetables, Jahpchae, Kim Chi, salad, rice and more.

The quality of the meats wasn't the best but still ok. Service was EXCELLENT! I'd probably be back.

Iron age in Buford has a LOT to work on!

1- We were asked to scan a QR code upon being seated. The QR code pulled up a menu that stated their lunch, $20/person, menu was valid Monday through Friday until 2:30pm. We visited on a Friday, but the waiter said the menu was incorrect, as Fridays are dinner menu all day. They did not honor their menu. They charged $27/person.

2- We were treating family that was visiting from out of the country. They requested chopjae. When we got the chopjae, it was completely spoiled, foul tasting and smelling. It was awful. We all spat it out immediately. We come from a Korean background, so we are very familiar with chopjae and how it should taste, BUT you did not have to be familiar with it to know that the chopjae was close to forming maggots. It was bad! We couldn't believe we were served that.

3- We were seated by the staff. A few minutes into our meal, two members from our party noticed water droplets falling in their heads. We looked up and the red/orange pipes were condensing. We notified the waiter, who simply started the obvious, that the water droplets were coming from the condensation above. No action was taken.

4- Our meal was not at all what we expected. While our party enjoyed all the meats, the negative things really puts damper on our meal. Additionally, they are not like your typical KBBQ. They had 3 little bbanchan. No kimchi. No lettuce. No veggies. Only 3 radish bbanchans.

Our recommendation is go somewhere else. Drive to Duluth, they have various places there that are much better. For $130 +tip this was very...

Add any banchan (side dishes) to the grill. Cooked kimchi gives a new flavor while the spicy rice cakes crisp up the outer layer giving it a new texture. . . . . #spicyricecake #banchan #grill #kbbq #kimchi #ironagemog #mallofgeorgia #buford #atleats

We visited this location on 09/03/2022 and 09/05/2022 for dinner. The service was great and the food was delicious! You could tell that they were understaffed as each waiter and waitress constantly hustled from table to table taking care of their customers. They did a fantastic job. The beef bulgogi is a favorite of ours. Even though Buttercup does not like shrimp, I wholeheartedly enjoyed them. Our waiters always kept our meat selections staged and ready to cook. We tried the spicy rice cakes for the first time and fell in love with them. They look like little dumplings in a spicy red sauce. They weren’t super spicy, but just enough. You have to try them. We had multiple servings! I could eat them as a meal! The steak was also delicious, as was the brisket. And, of course, what would Korean Barbecue be without Soju? I like the regular over the flavored ones, but the flavored one are still tasty for those who like sweet alcohol. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this establishment!
