I absolutely dread using this UPS. Every single time I go in there the employees are rude, and act like you are an inconvenience to them. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this UPS is the same negative experience every single time I go there. There is one gentleman that works at this store with very long, black hair that is always friendly and has a smile on his face. He at least acts like he enjoys his job, and should probably be training the other employees how to fake it as well.
Today, I had a large amount of returns. I understand that is probably not the most enjoyable thing to handle, and take care of everyday, and it most likely gets tedious- but that’s what UPS does (ships and labels packages). It’s their entire business model. When I approached the counter, I smiled and greeted the employee. No hello, nothing. I immediately felt uncomfortable. I made a comment to him acknowledging how tedious it must be to do all the Amazon returns. Again, no comment or even an acknowledgement of my presence. Just scanned and aggressively chucked my packages.
Even with several of them, my packages were labeled and orderly. Each had a QR code printed and attached to help make the process quick, instead of fumbling on my phone for the code and trying to match it to items as I’m sure happens to them a lot. I took each one out and handed them to him, to keep it all straight since I knew there were so many. I try to keep employees in mind, and respect their job so I want to do whatever I can as a customer to help make it easier at least. He was very noticeably annoyed by the sheer fact of having to do his job.
He made a snide comment to his co-worker about “having already done 20 of these” in reference to my returns, and her asking to help. When she asked him a question, he mumbled to her. Their entire interaction was meant to say “can you believe this lady?” I attempted to interact further and lighten the vibe, but the entire interaction made me feel foolish.
My large amount of returns meant that he was out of receipt paper. Again, another unfriendly and passive aggressive comment about having to print out a receipt and being out of paper, as if that was a huge inconvenience again. I told him I didn’t need a receipt, and left without one due to the sheer fact that I felt so unwelcome in the store. Hopefully I wont need my UPS receipt.
Honestly, I’m not a very high maintenance individual. I don’t expect UPS to roll out the red carpet for me by any means. But I do think it’s just basic human decency to acknowledge someone and be polite to them. This entire interaction was passive aggressive and just felt so negative. His approach was just aggressive and other than the kid with the long black hair, I’ve never experienced anything different from the employees here. I’ll continue to go out of my way to go to store #7271 where customers are treated with a bit more respect, a smile, and better customer service. UPS may want to do some customer service skills training. Your customers see everything. They see your facial expressions, and they pick up on how you interact with your fellow coworkers. If you hate your job, the customers know it! Without even saying a word, just by the interaction between the two employees, I knew there was some unspoken mockery about to take place once I left. The whole experience just drained the positivity out of me for a...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars, I would. PLEASE do not use this store for important printing! I tried to have my wedding invitations printed and visited the store on 2/26 and spoke with the manager for over an hour and we walked through my invitations and details together. I was told it will take 5 business days, perfect. On business day 6, I still had not received a call or update so I called and was told they weren’t in yet and would be shortly. Fast forward to 3 weeks from the date of order after calling almost everyday for an update (they never called me to let me know it arrived), I was told my order was complete and ready to be picked up. To my surprise, the day I am going to pick them up, I get a call from the manager saying my sign I ordered wasn’t ready (although it was supposed to be ordered 3 weeks prior) and most of my cards didn’t have envelopes. I was still okay with this and went to pick up what they had to get started and send the invites. I check the order before I leave the store to see that the invitations are the COMPLETELY wrong color and not at all what we discussed or what I gave her for a color swatch. Part of my order is completely missing as well. So when I go back into the store, the manager I had been dealing with was too much of a coward to come out from the back and speak to me until I started to ask where she was and why I can’t speak with her. She then proceeded to LIE and say this is what we talked about and I never sent her the other documents I needed to have printed. I have email proof to back up my claims that this is completely wrong and I did indeed send the documents that she noted she received on 02/26. Worst part of it all, they never apologized or offered to make it right. She just walked away and fed me to the other manager to give me a refund. So now, 2 months before my wedding, I am scrambling to find a printing location who can get this done as soon as possible. PLEASE do not go here for anything important as they completely left me in the dark for my wedding day and could care less. What a piss poor company and I will never recommend this location nor provide them with business ever again. What a nightmare. I’ll name drop the manager who singlehanded made me have a wedding meltdown, KIM. I doubt anything will be done to reprimand this terrible service...
Read moreJesse is an awesome person with great customer service at this store on tx-46.
When we went into the UPS store with an Amazon package to return, my dad initially had some troubles with breaking the chair down and I was also told by Amazon that we could ship it out in two separate boxes, but we found out we couldn’t. Jesse was so nice in helping us with the issues and explaining everything to us about the return shipping and he ended up explaining to us that we couldn’t use the same label on two boxes to send it back that way. So he said hold up and he took the other parts of the chair and finished breaking them down for my dad to pack all the rest of the chair into the box that it came out of. Out of all the UPS stores in San Antonio, none of them ever did what Jesse did for me and my family. He went above and beyond his job description. Thanks again Jesse for everything we really appreciate you.
The entire team is amazing and the owner who runs the store, she has a great team. This store will always have my business and will be highly recommended as a ups store to go to as long as we’re in...
