Literally the best Library I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They are always having events for kids and adults. My kids LOVE the family room and beg me to go there. Kids begging to go to the library??? There is a beautiful view and several places inside and out to just sit and read, study, etc... one interesting thing about them is that they rent cake pans. They have a whole assortment of various cake pans that you can rent out! Racecars, santa, etc.
Also one of the cleanest libraries I have ever visited. The restrooms as well are always clean and tidy. With all the kids that are constantly in there, I do not know how they are able to keep up with it so well.
Really impressed with the the new check out system as well. You can literally just set all of items on the table and it is able to read all the barcodes, no scanning needed. Excited to see all the new additions once construction is complete.
They are currently under construction so if happen to go during peak hours the parking situation is kind of a mess, but I am confident that once completed it will...
Read moreWe cannot sing enough positive praises about the individuals here at the Mammen Public Library. They are repeatedly SO accommodating and inclusive towards our residents and family members at Bella Groves memory care community. Each month, they host our residents for an outing, such as a tour of their butterfly garden, DIY bird-feeders, Bingo, holiday cookie-making, and more. They even designate an entire room for our community when we come to visit, and we always know that they will help us in any way that we may require, given the ever-changing needs of persons living with dementia. Collaborating with the ladies here is a real gift that allows for normalcy and joy in the lives of our residents, their family members, and our staff. This is a place to make wonderful memories together with your family, with areas of interest for every age. The children’s corner is delightful, and the overlook in the back of the library is exceedingly...
Read moreI love the views the library has to offer, the staff is pleasant and the children’s area is phenomenal. However, it is the noisiest library I’ve ever been to. The study rooms are paper thin, you hear everything the people next to you say so if you have someone in there doing business or a tutor tutoring a child forget it, you can’t think. Today I’m in the back (most quiet area of the library) trying to study and one of the staffers bring an IBM typewriter for a guest to use right next to the table I’m studying at. I don’t understand why he wouldn’t have put her and the loud typewriter in one of the empty rooms in the library. So for children it’s a great library, in fact, I’m almost sure it’s geared for children and seniors but not for the...
