Iâm giving this a 3 and not lower mostly because it is HEB. I LOVE HEB. HEB as a whole should be af 4.5! Not just their stores, their product line items are almost always 5 star! This location unfortunately is the only one conveniently located to me! They always have great selection. Their bakery, deli, and meat market are spot on! BUT what is up with the store already busy store being over ran with personal shoppers? You cannot go at busy times because you canât find parking. You canât go at non-busy times because the personal shoppers are worse than the rudest customers! I have been ran over by, pushed out of the way, and had to ask squeeze in between the big carts of chatty HEB personal shoppers because they ignored me saying âexcuse meâ multiple times to finish their conversations! Now today I decide to take a risk and squeeze in shopping on the way to pick up my son from school. Anyone who has a child in Comal ISD understands there is a balance of perfect timing when you can leave work, arrive in time to make it through grueling school time traffic and and get in line before any other lines start which keep you from getting to your line before you are late!! I was pleasantly surprised that shopping was easy. There was the normal amount of chaos. I was even more excited with how many registers were open. I gave myself what I thought was plenty of time since HEB cashiers are super fast that wasnât a ton of time. The person in front of me asked about a coupon for the Axe body scrubbers she picked up without the coupon. The cashier pulls out her phone looks online. Still not bothered. The customer has now told her not to worry. The cashier leaves the register to find someone to ask. Then again to find someone else to go find a coupon after asking the customer which aisle. All my things were already on the counter so I am stuck! The 5 people now behind me are leaving. 10 minutes later they are opening another register. Good news I suppose the lady I front of me got her coupon. I waited 10 minutes and had to bag my own things. I didnât complain it is the holidays, but I have had enough bad experiences at THIS HEB that is time to share. Still not enough to shop anywhere else for groceries though!! Everyone should shop at HEB, maybe just go to the. New Braunfels or Stone...
Read moreToday I was humiliated by a manager on duty. As I'm there today shopping for my brother that had knee surgery. And picking his prescriptions up. I'm taking a picture of bang energy drink on an end cap of an aisle to text him the picture to see which ones he would like for me to grab for him. The manager abruptly and loudly with no concerns of other customers around approached me saying they don't promote picture taking in their store. As an adult I understand that there are people out there that might try and take inappropriate photos and they're there to protect people and customers.. But I was also a customer today as well. With a full shopping cart at the time! The gentleman was literally standing behind me breathing down my neck at the I'm taking the picture. Breaking the HEB 6 ft rule! None the less.. I really had no clue he was talking to me. I was rather shocked. As he treated me as if I was some high school kid. I open my camera file and told him he was more than welcome to look at every picture I had on my phone. I had nothing too hide? As he was calling me out loudly embarrassing me as if I was trying to take sneaky photos of something or someone? I have never been treated this way in places such as a casino or wax museum one of your not supposed to take a photo at. But an H-E-B grocery store? Where there's hundreds of pictures posted right here under this review? And you can't tell me that hundreds of times a day people don't know what to buy and they text their husbands and wife pictures and wait for an answer such as I did today? And I'm sure this manager doesn't go and stop them like he did me today? I feel that H-E-B should post signs saying there is no photo taking inside their stores. Or you will be scolded and shamed in front of everyone. Because I felt so violated and disgusted today about the way I was treated by this manager for taking a picture to send to my brother. Like I'm sure hundreds of customers go in there and do every day. But this guy felt like it was necessary to degrade me in front of everybody standing around looking. too show his power of a manager. Take care of HEB! I'm...
Read moreThis review and warning is for all the parents who have babies and are wanting/thinking about coming to this HEB to shop with their littles. My daughter is 6 months old so of course she has to stay in her car seat when we go inside HEB or a Walmart, since the dawn of time, people have been doing this and is not anything new by any means! The other day I stopped by this location and had my baby with me to shop, as I walk in to grab a cart, they were completely different than the ones you always see at pretty much every HEB. I tried to put my car seat right where they always go there at the top front of the cart, it would not fit and honestly, looking at it you don't even need to try to see if it fits. The way these were made, there wasn't even a thought to the brain of babies at all. I asked an employee if they have the original carts that use to be there but was told that they got rid of the old ones and that these were the new carts they ordered. He apologized and bless this worker because he was such a big help and was even embarrassed of the companies shocking decision making on this, he told me that unfortunately these carts will not fit any car seats but that they did have something else. Apparently they did manage to provide some carts that specifically had a holder that was designed to look like a car seat and that's where you put yours at, well guess what folks, they only have TWO for the whole store. Of course we couldn't find at least one to use and that day would of been one of those days where you definitely wanted things to go more smoothly for you with it being cold and rainy. I honestly can't believe the people who are in charge there at this location thought that ordering shopping carts that don't accommodate parents who have babies was the best move to make.......I have no words! All the other locations are good to go and have common sense so just giving everyone a heads up before...
