Target — Local services in Burlington Township

Extremely weird employees; Was just in there not even 5 minutes ago. Did a simple return. While doing the return the white older lady employee was being racist but very subtle towards my daughter and I. “Does she speak English? Is she going to purchase that?” Even though I’m still in the store & why is it your business what I’m going to buy & when? She tried to save herself by saying she can ring me up if the lines are too long ( no lines in sight). I was raised to be nice even to the racist so i decided to hold my comments & no longer purchase anything from this store. That obviously upset my daughter that we were leaving suddenly because she was excited to shop so she started to cry a little. The white olde women decided to get in my personal business AGAIN & ask why we were leaving & if she’s okay. She really needs to learn to mind her business and not insert herself. Her face & body language let me know she thought negative things of my innocent 3 year old Hispanic daughter and i. l took my daughter and I to the restroom to change her diaper because we had a long 2 hour drive previously to this. While in there an employee came in there mad aggressive, eyeing my daughter and I ( keep in mind I was changing my female 3 year old daughters diaper while she’s doing it) & starts slamming each stall slowly looking for who the hell knows what. I guess she thought that was suppose to be intimidating ? Every time I come here it’s always weird...

No registers open aside from the self checkout because as a company they want everyone to pay for their own items and save that labor cost.

Wouldn’t really be a big deal but today I came in today to buy one item, a suitcase. As I was checkout out I waited for an employee to come assist with a price match (which is the only reason this review gets 3 stars - this woman was helpful). Checked out and had to get receipt checked at the door. No big deal right? Here’s my issue: I had to wait a for a few minutes to checkout. I saw multiple people that look a certain way checkout and leave without being asked for their receipt. Folks with multiple items in shopping carts or their hands or their own bags. But you had to check mine right? It’s 2023. Let’s treat everyone the same. If you want to check receipts, ask don’t discriminate on who you ask or don’t. Do better.

And sidenote: It’s not like they suspected that I had something in the suitcase. I wasn’t asked to open it. Just show my receipt cuz ya know they thought I stole it as they watched me check out and ask for assistance while...

This Target has been better, but it slowly just going downhill and it just doesn’t make much sense as to why. It doesn’t make sense, BECUASE they remodeled this location and only added three self check out kiosk, now they added self service which is amazing! However they seldom have cashiers it seems, and I am here at least twice a week. This makes the lines for the checkout post apocalyptic, and the customers turn into well…. Some kind of wonderful!

It doesn’t help that they have the checkout and the self check out dividing the main aisle as you enter the store, because the patrons don’t want to get out the way, so you can grab the shopping cart and start shopping, so that’s annoying to walk around the patrons to make a square before you can get into the main aisle behind the patrons.

Lastly, it’s so hard to get a team member if you should need them to answer questions or to verify quantity of merchandise….

3 strikes and I will just order online and ship it to my house to save...
