OK so to start with my review, I would like to initiate with the fact that I try not to go to this IHOP because every single time I go I have the absolute worst experience however I had been at least two years since I’ve been to this location and I figure why not give it another try. It was myself, my partner, and one of my close friends that decided to go out to breakfast upon arrival to this location, we were greeted at the front and someone went to go seat us. We were being sat in a room in the back of the restaurant and we asked do we have to sit in this back room the manager on duty at the time, explain that there was a side of the restaurant that was being closed down and yes, we had to sit in that part of the restaurant by the time we got to that part of the restaurant the waitress that was seating us realized there was no seats back there so we got put somewhere else with the waiter who was really nice, but he happen to be the only waiter in his area and he seemed to be a little overwhelmed with the numbers of tables that he was responsible for when there was a whole other part of the dining room that was completely empty. Our waiter was very nice and very apologetic for the wait times that we had to experience which was fine. He then came into our orders which we seem to have that would’ve been completely fine. Given the fact that we all specifically said what we wanted and we didn’t leave out any details However, both my partner and my friend receive their meals and when I received my order, it was completely incorrect. I ordered a build your own omelette with bacon, sausage cheese, American and hashbrowns inside the omelette with a short stack of pancakes and an order of toast. My friend ordered scrambled eggs with some other makings and tomatoes. When I received the omelette, the first time it had tomatoes on top of it. I kindly ask the waiter to remove the tomatoes which he did and he brought me the same omelette bag with two pieces of cheese covered over top, where the tomatoes were when I opened up the omelette I found a bunch of mushrooms, which is not what I asked for There was no meat and maybe half a scoop of hashbrowns so at this point, I’m now annoyed because I’ve been sitting at this table for two hours and I haven’t eat yet long story short the waiter was really nice and was able to get my omelette remade with the help of the manager and they comp’d the omelette and toast, however I will say 10 of 10 DO NOT recommend IHOP the Burlington location Thanks for listening to my TED talk I completely forgot that when I asked for toast, the first three times we hadn’t received it by the time we received the toast both my partner and my friend were completely finished eating and I was just now getting my omelette made the right way and ready to pack to go containers with my meal. The toast was cold and hard absolutely...
Read moreI'm very disappointed and angry. I wanted to take my Mom out and we each saw something on the online menu that looked good . I ordered the Belgian Dark Chocolate Mousse Pancakes and my Mom ordered the Split Decision. I know the actual food never looks as good in person as it does in the menu, but the Chocolate Pancakes they served me were a case of total false advertising. The menu shows 2 thick layers of mousse. There was no visible filling in mine. When I opened the stack, I found a tiny smear of chocolate pudding, not mousse in the center. I showed the waiter and told him it was supposed to be mousse. He went away and came back with a container with a spoon of pudding. Mousse is fluffy, whipped, airy and creamy. Pudding is a dense mess. He sent out the manager, who said that's all they have. I had him take it away and wound up with no meal. My Mom's wasn't much better. The French Toast was so under-cooked that she couldn't eat that at all. The eggs were runny and she could only eat one of her pancakes, because the syrup was bad. To top it off, when we got to the register we were overcharged. Their website lists the Split decision as $8.79, but we were charged $9.29 plus tax. My pancakes were listed as $7.99. The website says they're on sale for $4.99, so if I had been able to eat them, that's a big price difference. I told the server the prices were wrong, but he said he can't do anything about it. We didn't want to wait around again for the manager. We left angry, hungry...
Read moreWe were heading to MD for a mini Vaca and decided to stop at this IHOP to eat. The place wasn't packed and we were seated promptly. The waiter was friendly and courteous. When our food arrived, l noticed a little bit of smoke near the entrance. No one said anything and we continued to eat. A few minutes later, I then noticed that the staff was rushing to give out the checks to everyone. Still no one said anything. Finally after about 10 minutes, a young lady with her friends tells us there is a fire and that the fire department was on its way. Still, no word from the staff. Then finally there was some commotion and we were finally notified of the situation by the staff. But, instead of notifying all the customers in the restaurant of the situation and evacuating everyone, including the staff members, management made sure we paid and only then was there some persistence to evacuate. Fortunately my wife made the decision to leave and wait outside with the kids, but I still had to wait for my credit card and signature. This situation should have been handled much better. I'm sure there has to be some type of training where staff and management are taught in case this type of situation...
