I visited this establishment on the morning of 9/21/2024. Iāve been here numerous times before and Iāve never had any real issues or concerns. On this day, I arrived at 6:56am and was 3rd in line. Simple oil change and tire rotation. I had never encountered the heavyset guy at the front desk before and Iāll ensure that I never will again. He was very short with everyone and just had an overall demeanor as though he didnāt want to be there. A kind of āIām doing you a favorā type of attitude. Whatever. Iām aware that I will have to wait about an hour or so and Iām okay with that. I sit down by the door and bide my time. Watching new customers come in. I watch the technicians pull the 1st and 2nd customerās cars. My car is still in the lot. No problem. They pull the 4th customer car. My car is still in the lot. Cool. Iām assuming that my car will be taken soon. I literally start to watch these people pull cars of customers that had came in well after me. 6th and 7th. Not cool. So I ask the heavyset rude guy, what determines the order of service. āOh well, the technicians pull randomly and I only have 3 technicians.ā What? Randomly you say. Okay. So, I advised him that the Pathfinder that they just pulled from the lot literally came in 30 mins after me. He did not care. Had an āit is what it isā attitude. Okay. Run me my keys. I went to the oil change place right across the street. Received a tire rotations as well. Both me and my vehicle were treated like valued customers. They got me in, was extremely friendly, and got me out. Long Lewis, you do not have to concern yourself with my service any longer. Do better. Also, just to ārandomlyā mention. At Long Lewis, I was the only non-caucasian there so not sure if that was a part of that ārandomnessā...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf scam likely...if try to get over on you was a company...this would be it. I went by this morning...because my low tire light was on (it's winter time...that's not uncommon). Keep in mind it has been cold lately and it's not uncommon (again) for tires to lose pressure. I ONLY went for my low tire pressure light. The technician comes out to tell me the thread was completely worn on one of my tires, they could not repair it, and they would have to replace it. I was livid! I told the technician "no, that's not right...I JUST bought those tires". I'm not sure if he tried to get over on me because I am a woman, because I'm a black woman, or maybe I looked ignorant to him but whatever the reason I was highly perturbed. I could not believe that man looked me in my face and told that bold faced lie, that my tire was completely ruined. Ironically, I'd just had my tires rotated recently along WITH an oil change less than 45 days ago. Just to be sure I wasn't losing my mind I took my vehicle elsewhere and they checked my tires and found no issues...WHATsoever. To anyone reading this and wondering why I didn't take it "elsewhere" initially...that is because I wanted to have a place in my community where I could take my vehicle for small things like this...now I know I must continue to go where I'm not trying to be taken advantage of...which is outside the city. For what it's worth they did put air in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo NOT go to quicklane. The "service manager" doesn't know how to do anything but push papers and they don't care about your safety. They "tried" to do a flat repair on my mother's car. They buffed through the inside lining of the tire until you could see cord. Then instead of replacing the tire THEY damaged they covered it up with a bunch of liquid rubber and put it back on her car. THAT IS A POTENTIAL BLOWOUT AND HUGE SAFETY RISK!!! Then when asked what she was going to do about it she said she didn't see anything wrong.... clearly she needs a class from the Rubber Manufacturers Association on how to do a proper flat repair. I'll be at the owners on monday. Ernest McCarty ford in alabaster.
Chris William's at Ernest McCarty has stated that buffing the inside liner of a tire until cord shows isn't a safety issue and that he is perfectly alright with putting damaged parts back on vehicles. He does not care about your safety or well-being as long as he can make money. I've never heard anyone in this industry give so little concern to the safety of a customer. My mother could have had a blow out and wrecked, and potentially got hurt or worse. But that's ok with Chris Williams and Bonnie Kelly as long as they make money and don't have to spend none on replacing the stuff...
