Subway — Restaurant in Calera

Went in to pick up a doordash. There was a young man making the sandwich for people working hard and being friendly. The manager Cindy.... Stood beside him wiping the same surface with a rag over and over again while I stood 5 ft to her left and she never asked me if I needed anything. After the young man finished making the sandwich he asked me if I needed help I showed him my order he said they didn't receive the order and couldn't make it if they didn't receive it in the system. Doordash how to solution and doordash was going to pay them directly to make the order. One meatball marinara and 2 white macadamia cookies. At this point Cindy had ran and hid and sat down in the back in a chair even though she knew I was trying to come up with a solution. 45 minutes before they're closing. The friendly young man kept looking for Cindy for guidance but he told me they didn't even have the cookies that I needed. All they had was quarters and crumbs of cookies in the case. While Cindy was sitting down wiping already clean surfaces she could have been making cookies. That case is supposed to stay pretty full. And they stay out through the night as far as I know so it's not like it was so late you shouldn't make them. Anyway this subway lost a sale last night and it will lose sales from me in the future.... Until Cindy is gone. She was pretty rude and seemed to be pretty lazy and wasn't doing a job properly..... For some reason she seemed really kind though when I asked if she was the manager and what...

I've never had a bad experience at this Subway, until tonight! In fact, my fiancé and myself go there all the time and love it! Tonight was A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY! I ordered our regular order, a foot-long Steak & Cheese sandwich on Italian Herb and Cheese bread. Well, not to be ugly but a heavyset, black-headed young lady took my order and was fixing it. The bread she got out was hard as a brick and had to be several days old and burnt on top of that! I very politely asked her if she could get me another piece of bread because that one was clearly not fresh at all. She was extremely rude and rolled her eyes and said, no they are ALL like that and this is very fresh... and she proceeded to push down on the bread to show me how "fresh" it was and her fingers went right through it, as the bread crackled! So, I hope the manager as well as the employee that did this, reads this comment and handles the situation as management sees fit. Because, I'm about to call the manager right now as a matter of fact. Thanks for letting me write this novel...

Welcome to Subway in Calera, Alabama! This is a local sandwich shop that you can visit to make your own sandwich, their ingredients, your masterpiece.

Food: Need I say more? You can literally create your own sandwich with their own ingredients. Personally, I've always gone, the Italian B.M.T ( might be a different name now).

Service: It's subway, so the service isn't spectacular but it's not that bad, you get your food in and go out feeling all full, at least you hope, there wasn't no customers when I was at this location so maybe I just went in at a good time.

Atmosphere: The interior has definitely changed over the years and is pretty bland to me now, Subway needs to change up some things like a Freestyle coke machine (this location doesn't have it) , where you can pick up to a variety of different drinks and add flavors to them (cherry, grape, etc.)

Overall, not bad but anything special, visit at your own convenience. If you have Subway coupons, they are a must as they save you a lil on money, it helps in the...
