This was my first trip to this store. It's about a 90 minute drive for me. I signed up for a tournament starting at 2pm. I hit a small pocket of traffic caused by a minor accident. It added about 15 mins to my total time. I called the store 40mins ahead to notify them I'll be 5 mins late. The employee whom answered said "you're good, we're not starting till 2:10 anways" so I thought great. Little did I know this was not the tournament organizer (Dakota). I walk in the store 2:05 and round 1 has just been paired. I check in and the tournament organizer says I'll have to take a round 1 loss. The employee then reminds him that I am the one that called and should've started later. He then says verbatim, "oh shoot, the guys are gonna hate me for this." So in my mind he's gonna re-pair the rounds. But no, after some walking around and thinking in his head. Not consulting with any of the players or anything. Gives me the option if I want to play in the tournament then I'll have to take a round 1 loss. I played, begrudgingly. Just go to another store. One that honors their word and respects...
Read moreWent there for the first time yesterday. According to other reviews from a few months ago, the service was not at ALL what one would expect, but this place is really friendly now. It's not too crowded, it's organizer, and I can tell the service is usually okay. Despite what people I know have told me, Pokémon plushies there are super cheap compared to what I've seen with good quality. (I'd prefer they be cheaper, but you can't get what you ask for sometimes.) They sell (for the most part) games of a huge variety for cheap, and a lot of the pre-owned consoles are really well-priced too. Definitely recommend ever since they took down that GameStop in Cartersville. (Or... well, just prefer over GameStop in general.) Lower the prices of the plushies and I would be a regular. I get they're actually associated with the brand (I think) but that's ridiculous. Anything else though, really worth it. I could probably work up enough money real easily to get a good console for cheap. (I haven't actually gotten the money yet though, so uh, don't rely on me for the console QUALITY. I...
Read moreQuite a store if you ask me, though there’s one or two gripes I have. I’m trying to collect but it’s really the only store near me.The selection of Wii games (One of the two systems I own) is pretty bad, even if they’re hard to come by. My second gripe is the PS4 selection, don’t get me wrong, they’re still readily available, but I can’t really say stuff since I don’t know how you guys get stuff in stock. Trading maybe? Prices are fair, better than anything you’ll find online (System dependent of course) and I even got a new controller from there, all be it, a bit pricy there. The selection of PS1, DS/3DS Xbox/360, N64, and GCN games are decent, especially the Xbox 360 games.
Overall it’s a great store and I fully support it! Hey, you. Yeah, you, the reader. Take a visit, you’ll be amazed Much...
