Spa City — Local services in Campbell

I don’t know if they changed owners but it was really not a good experience. I pre booked a couples full body “deluxe” massage directly on the website. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk and we waited about 15 minutes to be taken back. We got to the room and were told to undress. The website description says the room is “romantically decorated” for a couples massage. The room is not at all decorated. With paying more for the “deluxe” massage, it would be nice to expect what is in the description on the site. It also shows on the site that hot stone or essential oils add on options are available, which was never mentioned to us. Once the therapists came in to massage us , there was no 10 minute consultation, they didn’t ask us any questions. They just simply started aggressively massaging our backs. We both have areas of concerns in our bodies and we expected that to be at least briefly addressed. The massage was way too hard and intense for me. I also noticed my therapist was the same woman who checked us in. I’m not sure if they are short staffed but I have a hard time feeling that she is an actual therapist..I was in pain most of the time , I groaned a bit and she asked “too hard?” I said yes , sorry. I assumed after I said yes, the pressure would be less but it wasn’t. I did not feel relaxed or enjoyed it at all. My partner has never had a massage and this was for his birthday so I felt bad and disappointed that this was our experience. He told me after that the pressure was too much and we both woke up sore the next day. Our goal was relaxation not to be uncomfortable and not offered anything. My husband purchased a Groupon voucher for this place. The initial contact sucked, the girl who answered the phone did not speak very good English. During the attempted communication she seemed to not have knowledge at first of the Groupon deal they had, then asked random questions that had nothing to do with the voucher. After a few minutes of total confusion she told my husband he could come in at 2:30 the next afternoon. The afternoon of the appt there was some police activity in our area that set my husbands arrival back a few minutes so being the good wife that I am I called the spa to let them know he was running a few minutes behind. The girl who answered the phone MUST of been the same girl from before because again the language barrier was in full effect. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with people who are running or working in businesses that may have limited English, but these are not the ones who should be in positions that are the first contact of the company/business. When My husband arrived 10 minutes late for his appointment, the girl told him there was no room, even though she had said he was set up for 2:45pm now as opposed to 2:30pm. She told him that his voucher had already been used, which it had not and she asked to reschedule him for another day, he chose not to and Eat the $30 voucher as opposed to trying to deal with this company again. This was the worst massages I’ve ever received. The therapist was on her phone a few times during it, when she would leave the room because she wanted to see what was happening outside in the front she would leave the door fully open exposing my naked body!! She also pulled my underwear down way farther than any other massage place has which was entirely uncomfortable. The massage itself was her slapping on a bunch of oil and rubbing it around. No effort, not even sure if she has her license for this. When I addressed her leaving the door open her response was “nobody was out there.” They have signs all over the place saying if you’re not satisfied or feel uncomfortable to email management directly which leads me to believe some shady stuff has happened there.
