1 visit my salad had a chemical taste to it (others at the table tried it too) I lost my appetite because the taste wouldn't go away. 2 other visits they were out of multiple items we tried to order. 4 we ordered to go our food was soggy and they gave us burnt rolls 5th visit I ordered a $23 med rare steak that came out full cooked and black edges I could tell it was medium well before I cut it. When I cut open it was confirmed by the server that it was way over cooked. The server took it back and they cooked a new one. By the time the new steak arrived my entire family had been finished eating so I just took it to go. We also ordered a burger to go for another family member. We had to wait awhile for it and I delivered to my family member at their place of work. I received a call that when they opened the Bun there was no patty in the bun. I was at home putting my 3 year old to bed. I called the store to correct the mistake and offered to bring the food back to confirm there was never a burger on the bun. The manager Liz informed me that she believed me because it wasn't the first time. She told me it would be ready by 9. I had to drive back to the store and I arrived a few minutes early. The hostess asked him if it might be at the To Go window. I told her I'm not sure since it was done through the manager over the phone. They called the manager over and she asked if I was the one she talked to on the phone. She told me they would be sure to make sure there was a burger in there this time. I waited until 915 and the host told me to go check the window outside. The burger was there so I had been sta ding there waiting and wasting my time for no reason. To the owner I have already filled out the contact us forms and haven't received a response. 🤷♀️ my family member had nothing to eat on their lunch break and was too tired to eat when they got home so that was a complete waste of money. My $23 steak also went to waste because I had to go back to the store and stand there like an idiot waiting on a manager to check food she lied about she was going to be...
Read moreMy family of 4 waited approximately 10 minutes on a Sunday which was no big deal. Our table was seated at 12:44 in the bar area at a booth. There were several empty tables around us but the one directly across from us was seated about 5 minutes after we were. That table was promptly greeted & brought drinks. I had noticed but being someone who’s been a server/bartender for many years I let it slide thinking perhaps our server was busy or having a bad day or maybe even was new several more minutes go by & I notice the 2 top seated after us is brought their salads. I’m a bit annoyed at this point. I tried to stop 2 different servers who just kept walking. The 3rd server I stopped I explained the situation & he went to go find out what was going on. At this point is when I pull out my phone & realize we’ve been sitting for 17 minutes without so much as a greeting let alone a drink. After sitting for a few more minutes waiting on a server we decided to leave. We are getting up from our table when a pregnant blonde female manager stops us & says “oh has no one been to your table?” Uh no. I explain we have been sitting for 17 minutes without so much as a hello. She proceeds to ask if we would like her to try & find us a server? To which we reply No we are going somewhere else. As someone who’s worked in the food industry for over 25 years in many capacities I have to say how poorly this was handled. First of all SHE should have offered to get our drinks right then & there. NOT made us wait longer for her to “find” us a server. Secondly she made NO attempt to get us to stay. No offer of a free appetizer or anything else. She simply kind of threw her hands up as if to say “what are you going to do?” And watched a table of 4 who would have spent plenty of $$ on food & alcohol & also given their business as a recommendation to others, had our experience not been so poor. I can’t even believe how this situation was handled. Poor poor poor. I hope you do better in the future Texas Roadhouse! Bc right now you’ve just lost some...
Read moreI have been to this Texas Roadhouse in Cape so many times as I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, hoping they improve, and they just don’t. I have never truly complained until I went yesterday and sent back food (I have never done this). First, we walk in around 6:30, it’s a busy time on a Friday night, understandable, they tell us the wait is 20-30 minutes, okay, cool! Now my friends really wanted this restaurant so AN HOUR LATER we finally get seated only to wait 10 more minutes for someone to take our drink order and appetizers. I ordered a cactus blossom and my friend ordered the fried pickles. Then she takes out food order about 5 minutes later after bringing the drinks (no app). I ordered a steak, mashed potatoes and a ceaser salad and my friends’ order are nearly the same. We get our salads before our appetizers and rolls! Then when we finally get our appetizers, the pickles are disgusting, nearly no crust, or pickle really, they’re so nasty we don’t eat them. My cactus blossom is so burnt that we couldn’t find the onion anywhere in it. I wish I was being over dramatic, but it was that crispy! The people seated next us ordered a cactus blossom and there’s did not look like that. I again, tried to give the benefit of the doubt and waited for our actual food. The only thing edible the entire night was the steak. The salad was bad, sawgy, and down right tasted like dirt. Then mashed potatoes were to gritty to throughly enjoy, it was horrible. I ended up sending the cactus blossom back at the end of our meal as we only ate about 5 pieces off of it and we got a refund, however, when the whole meal tastes like that… I should’ve sent it all back. Now the server, I didn’t blame and still tipped $10 on a $20 order but the kitchen staff should do better. I will NOT be going back as this is an every single time experience....
