I purchased a ring while on vacation in late July. Before purchasing, I asked an employee who was at the front desk the quality of the ring. Specifically asked if it would tarnish, the employee said no, and also told me that it was made of “solid brass”. I purchased the ring(see second photo of what it’s supposed to look like). Granted, i was on a beach vacation, so i wasn’t wearing it for the first 5 days after purchasing the ring. i wore it maybe 2 days after returning from vacation, at my desk job and i felt the ring was flimsy. i inspected the ring and noticed a crack in the finish on the back. i was a little concerned, but continued to wear it. 8 days after i purchased the ring, i was taking it off my hand and it just broke in half (see first photo). because the timeline was only 8 days since purchasing, i called to see if anything could be done. the person who answered told me the owner wasn’t in, but they’d take my contact information down and have the owner call me. i even offered to send photos. so i sent a text message to the employee who gave me their number, and re-explained what happened so they could pass it to the owner. the employee then said “We have never had this happen before. It’s an open ring but it’s sized and not meant to be bent”. i told them i didn’t ever bend it. and they told me again they have no idea how that could’ve happened because it never happened before. i then received no phone call back. it’s been over a month at this point. granted, it’s not the biggest deal in the world, it wasn’t super expensive, but telling me over text that i shouldn’t have bent the ring and basically saying i must’ve done something wrong not even from the owner, just an employee, rather than a “sorry it happened i will pass the message along to the owner” would’ve prevented the review from happening. it was a minimal mistake, but could’ve been handled...
Read moreI am not one to ever write negative reviews but I feel compelled to write this one because it has been several times now this awful customer service has happened.
The older woman who stands behind the checkout desk is consistently rude and nasty upon just entering the store- doesn’t greet you, or acknowledge your presence. Asking a simple question such as, “what size is this?” or “is this Sterling Silver”, or even “when do you close tonight?”, prompts a rude and cold response, that makes you feel bad for even asking in the first place.
I have a feeling that the reviews are so mixed because when she isn’t there, customers are genuinely happy and pleased with the employees and jewelry, but when she is there, customers have such a negative experience that they feel the need to warn others with a review.
She is not friendly at all, and unfortunately this ruins the entire shopping experience. I didn’t get her name, but you’ll know who it is the second you engage in dialogue with her.
The jewelry is priced well for the okay-quality they are and the place has a handful of cute things to buy, but because she is so cold and unfriendly, I can’t bring myself to purchase anything and give them my money. I end up leaving the store very displeased with the way I was treated, hoping it was just a bad day for her, but given this has happened several times now, I am finally speaking out on this.
I am always a customer who comes in with a smile, a “hello!”, and with the intention of buying something, but after this, I’ve just had enough of it, and will not be coming back.
I hope this review can serve as a warning to other customers and serve as a wake up call to this woman to improve her attitude and change her behavior. She may even be the owner, which is more of a reason to not support this business until something here...
Read moreThe worst experience; my young child came into the store with me who is 7. We went to look at rings the owner continued to state “ there is nothing her size” I said ok thank you…. We found another one we picked up that fit she asks us “not to touch the rings” all while multiple people were picking up rings and shopping around us. My daughter didn’t touch a single ring while in there as she was just pointing to ones she liked. She continued her rude comments throughout us being in the store while it was completely packed. As the worker/owner’s behavior continued it had to be one of the most disrespectful and distasteful experiences I ever had. To speak to customers like that is mindblowing especially as also a business owner myself I would never treat anyone who comes to my store that way. My daughter left in tears. Multiple people came out shocked as well by the women’s behavior. She also them continued to stare and gossip with her co workers and point at my daughter...
