I would give 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I ate dinner there yesterday and disappointing is an understatement. We were seated at a table that was TINY and in an area that was super crowded when the rest of the dining room was open. We were never asked if we wanted to order appetizers (which we originally did want to) and the food that we did order was really not good. To give you some perspective, I had my boyfriend drive to the nearby grocery store for a box of Kraft Mac and cheese after dinner. What really sent me over the edge though was that the waitress ignored me the entire dinner and only spoke to my boyfriend. She also gave him the check when I was paying and handed the reciept to him as well (after I made it a point to hand her the check with my card inside). It’s also worth mentioning that this restaurant is BYOB— which is fine but all other guests received a bucket of ice to chill their wine and we had to ask for glasses and a...
Read moreGreat BYOB local restaurant in Cape May. During our last visit to this Cape May bakery, over 12 years ago my wife and I ordered a custom wedding cake for our wedding in Cape May. The French bakery chef prepared a masterpiece with hand created sea shells and meticulously prepared roses
We visited the A Ca Mia this fall again during off the typical Cape May slow-season, the owner Nikolai was gracious and offered a choice of seating inside or on the outer porch area. They offer a special prix fixe dinner.
We found this restaurant to offer excellent value, generous portions and delicious food. This is also a BYOB restaurant for those wine lovers. We found the service to be excellent and personable, which was attentive and involved no waiting. One of the outstanding wait staffs, Gabriella was a pleasure to dine with with a snarky and playful attitude with all guests and stayed on top of...
Read moreMy husband and i wanted a nice meal on a Saturday evening and had beed told A Ca Mia was good. Well my friends did not lie. We decided to have the price fix dinners which were excellent with generous portions. We both had the house salad which was excellent. and i had the salmon and the hubby had veal parmesan. Both great dinners and we took some home because dessert was coming. We shared the chocolate cake which was like a flour less deep dark chocolate and i had the Lemoncello dessert. Neither one disappointed! When i asked if they had a liquor license or should we bring wine i was told they have a liquor license. the only evidence of that was a Cape May wine list. The wine was fine but could have been held another year or two. Cape May wines have interestingly a lot of potential however they are serving them too early in my opinion. We will ask to bring our own...
