Swede Things in America Inc — Local services in Cape May

Myself,my wife and a very good friend along with our 5 yorkies visited this shop on 9/27/24. We were interested in purchasing 2 wind spinners so I told 1 of the girls working there which 2 we wanted. She told us that they were in the other room so I followed her to see if I could help. She found them after searching through several boxes and handed them to me. She then rung up the items and everything seemed fine. We left the store and were later approached by 2 police officers saying that the girl who waited on us filed a complaint against me for adjusting myself while in her presence. Not sure what that means but I am now banned from the shop. My wife returned the items for a refund costing them a $120.00 sale.We will never visit that shop again. She should be fired for filing a false complaint...

This place has some different items, but I had a problem with the service. This is not uncommon in New Jersey, apparently. People can- and frequently are- unabashedly rude. The middle aged cashier seemed to pretend she wasn't aware of my presence. The young girl who also worked there (her daughter?) was really sweet though. She rang me up. My mother, who was with me, was also making a purchase. Instead of waiting on her, the other (the middle aged) lady took the person who was standing BEHIND my mom. I said to her that my mom was also waiting to be checked out. She said she started ringing that person up beforehand, however that patron was nowhere near the register while we were there. After a nice shopping experience at the stores in Cape May we stopped to look in the window at this store as my, 4 year old, was captivated by the jellyfish lights on display. Myself, another adult and my chilx stood and look for a few minutes and during this time my child his hands on the outside glass to point the different things to show me. A few seconds later the woman working came up and knock from the inside..pointing to my son, yelling "dont touch". My issue....1. No where OUTSIDE is there any signs about not touching the glass, 2. you should have "knocked" to me, the adult and not terrifiying a child, 3. your store lost out on the sale of two jellyfish lights, 4. I will tell everyone I know how rude...
