The long- and short-sleeve Comfort Color shirts Making Waves uses are factory seconds (look for the black Sharpie line on the size tag). Of the 4 shirts we purchased, 2 of them had inconsistent washes to them and while that's to be expected, what wasn't was the terrible quality of the screen prints. Whomever Making Waves employs to screen print their shirts really needs to button up their QC. Every shirt we purchased, which are all 1-color prints that say "Cape May" in a collegiate style font, were crooked and not centered to the shirt. Not even close. Sadly you wouldn't notice until you saw yourself in a mirror.
All of their shirts were "on sale" for 50% off which leads me to believe they'll be full price of $25 (they were long-sleeves) come summer time which is mind-numbingly insane considering the awful quality. They also sell the same design on Comfort Color sweatshirts and I can't 100% confirm they too are factory seconds, but for $40 each I really hope they are not. Anyway, $50 straight to
TL;DR - thoroughly inspect everything...
Read moreFirst time coming to Cape May, and MakingWaves shop. What caught my eye was their really cute clothing, trendy accessories, and jewelry on display. I was kindly helped by Rachel - all I can say is WOW what remarkable customer service! Rachel was exceptionally helpful with her abundant knowledge of the jewelry as I am sensitive to certain metals. She has impeccable taste in jewelry as well while keeping my sensitivities in mind! She assisted me and my friend in our decisions as we loved so many things and was extremely patient with us! Would recommend MakingWaves to anyone looking for a wonderful shopping experience met with a compassionate and ebullient individual like Rachel. Looking forward to going to the...

The next day they went in & thought maybe it would be a better experience, but instead they were told to leave the store & that they weren’t welcome for “lying”. Said they got “8” people to leave a review when the four people who experienced it were the only ones who left the review lmao. It’s just unprofessional & rude. Very cute stuff but there’s so many other cute shops in Cape May with a much...
