I had been to two different Kohls locations to return a shirt. The shirt was just a size too large that my mom had bought for me a week prior, so I was visiting these locations to see if I could exchange it for a size down. I tried on the shirt, but it was too large and the tags had already been cut off. However, I had the account number that the shirt was purchased on. Anyways, the first two locations were very kind and helpful. They both suggested I visit this Kohls location since the website said they had multiple of these shirts in stock in my size. When I arrived, the lady I spoke with was extremely rude. I explained the situation and asked if she had any of the shirts in stock, to which she replied “You have to go check in the back.” Alright, no problem. I tell her I’ll be right back and she then asked if the shirt had been worn before I could leave. I tried the shirt on before but that was the only time it was worn, so I said yes. Her whole attitude changed and she told me I could not exchange the shirt, even though I told this to the previous two locations and they said I could. I further explained that I had only worn it once and that it was to try the actual shirt on, but she very rudely insisted that she could not return it. Her harsh tone made it feel as if I was being kicked out of the store. I will never return to this...
Read moreThis is the Kohl's of West Carmel (on North Michigan Rd), which is "my' store. Always clean and tidy and staff has always been quite pleasant and downright helpful whenever I've gone in. Areas are fairly easy to navigate but might be a tight fit if using a mobility device. Fitting rooms have always been clean, even if someone left their "rejects" without putting them on the "reject rack" outside the fitting room entrance/exit. I think the lights may be motion or sound sensing, as the lights went out on me a pair of times during my last visit, but either I or staff got it going again. If you're a hunting kind of shopper, check out the clearance racks. If you're a shoplifter, forget about the Nike/UnderArmor/Adidas section up in front by the registers - they're locked down tight. If you need to visit the loo, lemme know how that goes, I've never been in. If you're returning an Amazon purchase, that's back in the rear of the store near the customer service desk, is super easy, and check out the coupon on your return slip! Plenty of parking, handicap accessible parking too. Check both ways before you cross driving lanes - Home Depot contractors can be rushed and some people don't stop at...
Read moreUp to 2 stars due to my mistake on placing online order to this store thinking I did to Westfield. Went to Westfield to pick up and they told me needed to go to this store. Like others say, design flaw and online order pickup is far back left of store. I went there and my phone was dead. I gave name, phone number and ID to clerk and complete explanation. Clerk searched for a bit and said I needed order number because they show none. I later found out she “should” have told me to go to front of store as that is where those items end up. Nope - she told me to come back with order number. I then found my order showing picked up on app from that store. I don’t know if they thought I was a “scammer” or what but it took a 20 minute phone call and two levels of management just to get the order refunded as I refuse to deal with that level of incompetence and drive out there again. I don’t even think they looked up front to find out they still had it (which they did) until I reached the overall manager. ...
