The Music Playhouse — Local services in Carmel

I'm sad to write this review, but I feel compelled to share my experience regarding the winter session music class my child was enrolled in. Unfortunately, we have been repeatedly ignored when requesting to be made whole from the issues we encountered.

The session started a week later than originally scheduled, and the technology failed to allow for music listening outside of class. Less than half of the classes were conducted by Emily, whom we specifically chose for her expertise. One of the substitute teachers seemed inexperienced and even brought her own children to class, which was a major distraction.

To make matters worse, we were informed that the session will conclude with two fewer classes than what we initially paid for. Given these circumstances, it's unreasonable to expect us to make up for the missed classes.

Overall, aside from the few sessions with Emily, the experience has been disappointing and did not meet our expectations. I have kindly requested a partial refund to reflect the shortcomings we've faced and have been...

Emily and her staff at The Music Playhouse have created an absolutely phenomenal program for young kids, toddlers, and babies! I was honored to be invited to host a drum circle at a recent event, and seeing the amount of smiles and happy energy from both the kids and their parents was astounding, and for good reason. I have facilitated hundreds of drum circles and seeing these young children immediately pick up on rhythms, ability to do call and response rhythms as well as simply go off on their own creative groove was impressive to say the least.

Music has done wonderful things for my life on many different levels professionally and personally, and introducing your children to what is being done at The Music Playhouse will deliver great benefits for not just the children, but the family as a whole. We absolutely love The Music Playhouse! The quality of music education here is incredible, and it’s clear they put so much thought into creating an interactive, engaging experience for kids. Emily, our teacher, is simply outstanding—her talent, training, and warmth make every class a joy.
