After speaking to someone behind the counter and customer service it became abundantly clear to me that Kohl's has their employees taking in returns for Amazon, but they're not paying them to do so!!!!!! so it's a lot like a car wash across the street needing a little extra help and they're forcing their employees to go over there and wash cars for free and if they don't do it then they get fired now I know that there's such a thing as contract law but federal law supersedes contract law this is something that all kohls stores are doing. They're quite literally making their employees take returns for Amazon and they're not paying them anything to do it so the people that they have working in customer service are getting paid for customer service for Kohl's but they're not getting paid anything extra to deal with Amazon returns after hearing this I couldn't help but to think this company is going to get sued in a way that we've never heard of. You can't make someone work for another company and not compensate them. Just as soon as I heard the story I thought this is ridiculous what an absolute scam come work at Kohl's where you can work for Amazon for free lunacy and Kohl's just goes along with it? What kind of crap is that? Absolutely disgusting greed. Making their employees work for free for another corporation and if they don't do it they fire them. Work for free or...
Read moreI opted to return my Amazon return to Kohl's & chose a weekday evening when the guest services desk may not be busy & it was a good choice. The guest services rep was friendly, efficient & thorough. She explained I was receiving a $5 in-store coupon good through the end of this month. It took less than 5min to complete the return. I then wandered the store & scoured the sale racks as one can often find great deals there. Unfortunately I did not find anything to purchase. I noted that there was very little inventory in the shoe, kitchen items & cosmetics departments. I was disappointed as they supposedly carry the Philosohy brand of body care products but there was no inventory. There were also very few quality purses in the accessories section. I surmise that the depletion of stock may be attributed to Kohl's reducing inventory in advance of upcoming announced closures of Kohl's stores nationwide. It's sad but the face of retail America is changing. Neverless, for an Amazon return, opt for returning to Kohl's if...
Read moreTerrible service! I did not like being followed and watched closely by your loss prevention, floor associates and store manager, as if I was doing wrong today. I spent more than $500 since I need a new wardrobe for my trip so I guess they assumed I was up to no good. Upon checkout, the manager stood behind me and then the loss prevention associate called the cashier during our transaction. I know a retailer's goal is to protect its assets(clothes) but there was nothing I did to make you guys think I was stealing or doing wrong. I had only a small shoulder wallet with me btw. I never assume the race card but I don't know about this one. I will be taking all $500 worth of my items back and closing my Kohl's card (that I've had for 5 years). I can revamp my wardrobe at a retailer that does not assume the worse from customers. I use to be one of your assistant managers in CA so I know the...
