Signature Nail Spa(10% off for all services) — Local services in Cary

This is my first and last time going to Cary's Signature Nail Spa! Me and a friend went there on last Saturday. I wanted a mani-pedi. I had gel polish nails and wanted it removed. I wanted a basic pedicure but the male nail tech wanted and kept on insisting that I get the Botanical Escape Spa Pedicure for $49.00 that uses oranges! It had organges for that pedicure and I never had that type of pedicure before so, I finally agreed to it after the male nail tech kept nagging me to try it. Before the pedicure started he placed a towel around my neck and placed this hot beaded neck rest around my neck. After a several minutes of having on the heated neck rest on, I begin feeling a hot tingling sensation around neck and it was not feeling so great! It made me feel very uncomfortable so, I took it off my neck! My friend received the same pedicure as I did and said that she felt the same thing as I did! So she took hers off her neck as well saying it didn't feel right! During the pedicure, the nail tech took my hand and peeled of all of the gel polish off my nails using his own fingernails and I'm wondering why he's not soaking my nails just like any other nail salon would have done! He finished up my manicure and gave me my bill and he charged me $10.00 for him peeling off my gel polish on my fingernails! I didnt like this! And he waited for me to pay for this service by standing directly over me pointing to the gratuity tip guide! I felt that this service was very poor and awful! After leaving the Signature Nail Spa, I notice that my neck was really red from that heated neck rest the nail tech placed around my neck! Now, my neck is now dark in color resulting in a bad burn! So, basically my neck was burnt during my pedicure! I'm so angry and I will never ever go back to this place again! I will not recommend this nail salon to anymore! Poor service, rudeness, and a burnt neck is what they offered me on my 1st and only time ever trying...

My fav nail tech is long gone from the regular spot I used to go to 😭 so I am looking for another that I am happy & comfortable with.

I am a person that likes to read reviews but not necessarily write one. But this time I feel I want to share my experience since I was unsatisfied with the service I received. And obviously the salon as a whole isn't a bad one because of all the good reviews, and that is why I decided to try out this particular nail salon in the 1st place. Maybe I was just paired with technicians that weren't a good fit for me.

1. About two days after my pedicure, I began to notice rough, dry spots still on the heels of my feet so obviously the exfoliating portion of the pedicure wasn't done very well. 2) Also when the 2nd technician was putting on my full set of nails, I had to keep reminding her and explaining to her how I wanted my nails to be shaped "round". She kept trying to make them more to a point similar to hers instead of rounded edges as I had requested. They were left too long and eventually at home (on the same day that I redid my foot scrub) I cut down and shaped my nails on my own. It wasn't a horrible-horrible experience I had. I was just not completely happy. And I'm not the type of person to complain or be nasty. I still left a tip for both technicians that day.

Everyone can have a bad day so maybe that's what happened... I kept telling myself, which made me hesitant in writing this. I'm not quite sure what it was but i most likely will not return. My search will continue for another fav...

I dropped in the first time and liked my technician, so the next time I made an appointment with her. Apparently they don't know what an appointment means, because my technician took someone minutes before my scheduled time. I waited over 40 minutes for her and by then, I didn't have time to finish. I asked her to please just do one hand and I would come back to finish the other one. She still tried to finish the work, and I kept insisting that I come back because she was barely doing my cuticles (the ONLY reason I get my nails done). Anyway, she looked her calendar, told me when to come back and I did-- at the exact time she told me to come. When I got there, once again she had been told to take a walk-in during my slot so, I asked when I could come back again! She said in a half an hour, and then ONCE AGAIN, her manager made her take another client in my new time. Well the girl beside her had witnessed all of this and offered to take the other girl so my technician could finish me. She then proceeded to tell me that her manager said she could only paint my nails--not do my cuticles! Mind you, I had paid and tipped her already, been there THREE times for one manicure and then she wasn't even going to finish properly? She basically said she didn't care either because she was leaving the salon that week because of the bad management. I will NEVER go back there. Perhaps if all you do is walk in and don't care who does your nails it would be a better experience, but I won't patronize a cheap, conniving business...
