We've been to several Flying Biscuit Café locations and have always loved both the food and the service. Unfortunately, our experience at this particular location was completely different—and deeply disappointing.

From the start, our waiter asked for our drink order and then disappeared. He never returned, and after waiting for a long time, I had to approach a different server to ask for help. She kindly brought us coffee and said she’d bring biscuits shortly, but those never arrived either.

When our food finally came, there was confusion over what was included in the order, and the complimentary biscuits we were supposed to receive never showed up. To make things worse, the food quality didn’t meet expectations. The sausage was dry and hard, the scrambled eggs were barely warm, and the biscuits we eventually received weren’t warm either.

We spoke with the manager, who was understanding, comped our meal, and invited us to give them another chance. However, what happened next left us stunned.

The original waiter came over to collect our plates and said, “I heard you said this is the worst Flying Biscuit you’ve been to. Good luck finding somewhere else to eat.” Then, as he walked away, he turned back and gave me a dirty look. It was incredibly unprofessional and completely uncalled for—especially given that he was the one who neglected his responsibilities in the first place.

We’ve never experienced anything like this before at a Flying Biscuit Café, and sadly, we will not be returning to this...

Stepping into The Flying Biscuit is like being wrapped in a warm southern hug. The aroma of freshly baked biscuits wafts through the air, mingling with the tantalizing scent of crispy bacon and sizzling sausage. This charming southern restaurant has quickly become my go-to spot for a hearty and soulful meal.

The decor is an eclectic mix of vintage charm and modern comfort, with whimsical touches that make you feel right at home. From the quirky biscuit-shaped salt shakers to the cozy mismatched chairs, every detail adds to the restaurant's unique character.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! I started with the signature biscuit and let me tell you, it lives up to its name. Fluffy, buttery, and golden brown, it practically melts in your mouth. Paired with their homemade apple cinnamon butter, it's a little slice of heaven.

The service was impeccable, with friendly staff who seemed genuinely happy to be there. They offered great recommendations and made sure our glasses were never empty. The Flying Biscuit's laid-back, welcoming vibe made for a truly enjoyable dining experience.

In a world where many restaurants feel like carbon copies of each other, The Flying Biscuit stands out with its genuine southern hospitality and mouth-watering cuisine. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is one spot you won't want to miss. Trust me, your taste buds...

Leaving a 5-star review for GIGI is a no-brainer, as her dedication to her craft truly elevated my breakfast experience. I visited here at 12:20pm on a Saturday afternoon with my son and a friend. We went to Raleigh location first but it was 1-1.5 hr wait… i called this location and it was only a 15-20 minute wait. When we got here, we waited less than 10 minutes. As we went to the table, the floor was dirty. They noticed and decided to sweep before seating us, which was good. The waiter came over at 12:31pm with waters and biscuits that were delicious! He brought over a kids menu for my son. We ordered at 12:46pm. The waiter took a while to come back after dropping off the biscuits. My friend got the chicken and waffles, my son got the French toast, and I got the stuffed French toast with eggs and moon potatoes. The food came at 1:04pm. My fork wasn’t clean. I didn’t realize until flipping it over and seeing food stuck to it, ew. On the other hand, the food was VERY delicious! All of us enjoyed it thoroughly! With the biscuits, the meal was filling! We initially wanted mimosas and other drinks but this location doesn’t have it. I’ll note that although the name of the establishment is the same as others in the area, they all aren’t affiliated with each other. I plan to return! We want to try the Raleigh location as it has a little more to offer.

Got here while it was raining and was told it would be around a 15 min wait. Pretty big disconnect between the host stand and the wait staff as they clearly could’ve bussed and sat tables more efficiently. We were sat more close to 25 minutes and our server took a while to get to us. We ordered and app, drinks and waters and only one of the waters got to us. Reminded our server of the waters and still took 5 more minutes to get to us. Had to ask for straws as well. Our biscuits came out then our app (FGT). A bus person takes my sons share plate and I tell her we need that for the apps. We never got a new plate. The app was great though. They are consistent across the other restaurants, which is nice. Our server kept coming back asking if we needed anything but when we did (water refills), she was nowhere to be found. Food is good, service could use some brushing up. Poor design of the front waiting area as you can’t get to the host stand while other people are waiting. And there is a covers seating area outside but they should’ve covers a waiting area out there as well.

If ever there were a place where hunger meets its match and delight knows no bounds, it is here, in this fine establishment of fried chicken and waffles. From the moment one steps within, the air is rich with the scent of golden-brown fowl, crisped to perfection, and waffles so light they might well have been spun by fairies themselves. The chicken—ah, what mastery! Its crust shatters with a most satisfying crunch, yet within, the meat remains as tender as a sonnet’s verse, each bite a song of savory bliss. And the waffles! Soft, yet with an edge of crispness, they serve as the perfect companion, catching pools of warm, sweet syrup as though it were a treasure most dear. The service is warm, the atmosphere merry, and the portions most generous. No guest leaves unfulfilled, nor any soul untouched by the magic of this humble yet wondrous fare. If thou dost seek a meal both hearty and heavenly, look no further. For here, in this house of crisped fowl and golden cakes, lies a feast fit for kings and common folk alike.
