I’ve withheld my review of this restaurant until now. I’ve visited on several occasions and would have previously rated it 3 stars. The food is okay; it really depends on what you order. Their sushi is sufficient (and at least I’ve never gotten food poisoning), but the rolls appear to be the same combinations of fish over and over. The prices are a bit too high for the quality and amount of food you get. The service tends to be slow. One time I visited on a busy night and was told sushi would take 40 minutes. So I ordered lo mein, which was greasy and tasteless. Another time I ordered the Salmon Lover, which was not enough fish for the price and did not come with sushi rice for the six salmon pieces. I left hungry, even after ordering a miso soup, which was not included with the entree. The reason the restaurant finally gets my review is because of the treatment my friend and I received when I asked if I could dine in with my friend, who had just ordered food from the restaurant to-go. She was told she could not eat takeout food in the restaurant, even if I dined in. Apparently that’s their policy, which I would understand and accept without argument if we attempted to bring in food from another establishment. But we were trying to eat THEIR food in THEIR restaurant; half of it just happened to be in to-go containers. I don’t mean to sound bitter. In fact, I’m grateful the manager who told me about this stupid policy saved me money that I would have spent on mediocre food, and the time I would have waited for their slow service of said mediocre food while I watched my friend eat. Oh, excepting the 10 minutes it took for someone to actually come to the front desk to talk to us in the first place. One star for the effort! I’ll be sure to share this experience with all of my friends and the 3,000 or so colleagues I work with in the area.
Edited to add that GM Mike seems to be missing the point: I would have ordered food from the restaurant if my friend was allowed to sit with me and eat her food that she ordered from the same restaurant, THIS restaurant. Saying you didn’t want me to take up potential seating from other patrons is just another way of saying you didn’t want me as a patron. I would’ve been a paying customer had you let me stay. But you lost my business. Good luck staying afloat with your overpriced,...
Read moreMy wife and I brought our 4 and 8 year old kids to have Christmas eve dinner here. There was a table of teenagers that came in and was seated 15 minutes after we sat down. The table began playing explicit music on their phone as loud as the device would play. I politely ask them to not play the loud and obscene music as I could see that my wife and 8 year old, who were backed up to them, were bothered by it as the teenagers were holding the phone right by their head. They immediately started being aggressive and antagonistic towards my family. They began cursing at us and calling us obscene things in front of our kids. Rather than saying anything back we told our server that we were being harassed by the table. The server had no idea what to do and my wife said "well get the manager", all the while the teenagers dug in and began injecting their selves in our discussion with our server. The manager came and did nothing. The owner (Mike is his name) came and asked them to stop and they did not. We asked the owner to please move the table as they were being antagonistic and aggressive towards us and we were tying to have a good family dinner at what we thought was a family establishment. The owner did nothing and allowed the teenagers to harass us while we ate our food. The owner of this place allowed a table of obnoxious teenagers to bully and harass my family to the point of us leaving our food and leaving the restaurant. What kind of establishment allows one group of patrons to clearly and openly abuse, bully, and harass another group of patrons? This one does. He even let the little girls bully him and did nothing. They were calling us explicit names in front of the staff while we sat in awe and the staff did nothing (in front of little kids). I even gave the restaurant a call to give them a chance to invite us back to correct this issue and they have not reached out to come to a resolution. I am disgusted and will never return to this place.
Edit: Mike, you know this is not how...

The food is pretty good. My brother and I went here about an hour before they closed. I made sure to call to see if it was okay if we came, and the hostess said yes. Once we got there and the hostess sat us, 2 servers (one seemed to be the manager) kept staring at us and looked quite frustrated. I didn't think too much of it until I realized my brother and I were still waiting to be acknowledged ten minutes later, and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Those same servers walked by us, and one of the 2 asked the other who's going to take our table. When the server who decided to take our table finally approached us , he wouldn't let us finish our setenences to let him know our order. For example, I said I would like to order hibachi chick- and he'd cut me off hibachi chicken. What kind of rice? And that continued until my brother and I finished our orders. I started to feel bad about arriving an hour before they closed until another gentleman came in at 8:39 (they closed at 9), and he was greeted immediately with a smile. We were given water about 15 minutes after arriving. Again, the restaurant wasn't crowded.
When our food was brought out, our server came back 2 minutes after we received our food to ask us if we were using the soy sauce and the other condiments on the table. We wanted to but could tell he was trying to take it anyway, so we just let him.
I understand wanting to finish a shift on time/early. I used to work in the restaurant industry myself which is why my brother and I finished our food BEFORE the store officially closed, tidied up our table, and could have left even earlier if our not-so-friendly server would have brought the check out quicker.
This was a disappointing experience and to sum it up - 2 tables arrived after my brother and I and seemed to received...
