Terrible customer service! The gentleman who works on the computers seems nice enough and seemed genuine enough. He did make some effort though twice tried to get me to purchase a laptop that didn't fully work.
The woman who runs the front desk is like no other person I've ever met in any front end of any business. Incredibly, searingly next-level rude, as others have mentioned. Not curt, but straight-up street-level traffic-altercation rude, of the type that make you fully stop and say to yourself, "Did this lady really just talk to me like that? Seriously??". When I brought the slow-running computer I'd just purchased back the morning after purchase because it couldn't even buffer a YouTube video at 480p, much less operate with two tabs up, she said 'no refunds'. I asked if she was ok selling computers that don't run video after the customer said they run video, and she replied "No refunds that's our policy". She was just fine selling a $300 computer that couldn't run a YouTube video, then didn't want to take it back. After much arguing the gentleman came from the back, after a discussion he asked if he could have a chance to make it right. Now to me that's how you do good business, fair enough. So even though the woman in front of being ridiculously, comically rude, he's trying to make it right, and I'm guessing maybe she's had a rotten day let's be human and let this one pass, so ok. I called up there a week and a half later he's got a new one ready, I thought he was fixing the old one but fine, let's get one that works well.
When I went in to get the replacement, they've got a computer, wireless mouse, and the mouse receiver is in a USB multi port taking up the one USB port on this laptop. So all he tells me is he has lots of extras for the trouble, and I'm smelling something's up so I said I need to test it. I went to test it and the mouse pad on this laptop is non-functioning, which of course they didn't offer up front. That's what the mouse is for, to replace the broken pad. For $300. And also now almost two week process, and being treated like trash by the woman at the front desk, and an argument.
So I refuse to take it, ask for my money, and the woman is yelling about no refunds again. And mad at me, telling me I'm a rude customer after a two week, two-nonfunctioning laptop $300 experience. I really have better ways to spend my day. I had to explain that this was not legal, I would call my bank and get them to claw the money back under purchase protection, and call the city chamber of commerce, or they could refund me presently. The woman literally tried to bully me into taking a second computer that didn't function properly, and basically in my opinion steal $300 from me. She said I 'couldn't be satisfied' because I wanted a computer with a mousepad that works.
This exact same behavior from has been reported through many previous reviews, which I unfortunately neglected to check before entering the premises. Who acts like this in a place designed to get customers to feel good about buying things so they can earn money? Just this one lady. I've never seen another person like her in any business, anywhere, ever.
The gentleman is nice enough, but still twice tried to get me to take a computer which didn't function properly. Unfortunately we have to give one star to post a review. This was a zero star experience, and the worst I've been treated in 52 years, in any business from Arizona to Mississippi, to Illinois, Canada, and back. My guess is that they survive mostly preying on the many retirees who live here, and don't know any better.
This was literally edging on complete fraud.
What an experience. I advise you to stay far, far away...

I brought in a power cord for my security system While for weeks goes by and I call and ask about it spoke with a woman and she told me that it was not in yet the replacement cord and they would call me when it was in well all this time later I have been trying to get ahold of them and stopping by and the shop has been closed and no one answers. Will today I saw the open sign on I walk in to the business and stood there for roughly 30 minutes and not one person acknowledged me or even came out from the back. So as I was walking out the door, I decided to call and the owner Doug picked up I explained to him my situation and he told me that I would need to bring in my paperwork and he would see what was going on I tried to explain to him that my paperwork is in Colorado with my bookkeeper and ill get a copy, he became incredibly irate with me and hung up on me when I was still speaking I did not lose my tone, my manners, or my temper with him at all. I was only explaining to him that the receipt that I needed to go in there was at my book keepers in Colorado. So I called back and get a lady on the phone who listens to me, (which I do believe she just picked up the phone so he wouldn't have to speak with me about his rude behavior) and she proceeded to tell me "well sorry I'm there's nothing I can do. I don't answer phone calls. (As she is talking to me on the phone) So needless to say I am out a special cord and the money I paid for the replacement. I would tell anybody that needs help with their computers electronics or anything else of that nature; to run... do not walk away from Doug's! Never go there, they are horrible people who have no clue of customer service or...
Read moreEDIT: I did not talk to a customer. I am livid that you will pin your mistakes on the people who do spend money at your shop. I talked to the person who was behind the desk, and that person was a woman. To the best of my information, that woman is the same person who seems to run the business accounts, Doug's wife. But it would behoove someone so rude to try to cover these things up for the other clients, given every bad review in the list has a reply starting with "that never happened!" Have positions or don't, I don't care, at least admit when you've done wrong.
I went in to purchase possibly some computer components and check out the area while applying for jobs, which was my first mistake. I ask the woman running the counter if I could apply to work, to which a simple "No," would have been fine. Without seeing my resume, my qualifications (which are likely more than hers) or any degree she said "This is a family business, we don't hire people who don't know what they're doing." I should have checked the reviews before I bothered to even ask anything. The other gentleman in the waiting room seemed taken aback by the statement as well, and when I replied I was just looking for something local that lined up with my course of study she told me i was "better off begging at intel." Who even says something like that???? They can "know what they're doing" all they want (according to the reviews, they don't) but until they learn that their livelihood depends on the people who walk in that front door and that all business starts with service, they will never receive...
