For clarity, I utilized this shop via their eBay store. When I received my game it was loose inside the game case (likely USPS fault) but because of this the disc arrived dirty and with surface scratches. I did my best with a microfiber and warm water and tried the game. The game froze on me anyway. I contacted eBay customer service who said to ask for a partial refund. I asked the seller for a $5 refund to have the disc professionally cleaned and they refused. Now I’m either paying out of pocket or returning it.
And for complete and fair context, yes , the seller did offer me a full refund with free shipping, but I explained to him why that wasn’t an attractive option for me. It would require me searching for a copy at the same sale price that I purchased this one at and taking the gamble again that I may receive a disc with even more scratches. Instead because I don’t think this current disc is beyond repair, all I was looking for was the seller to cover the five dollars to have the disc professionally cleaned at a shop near me and he still refused.
This owner and seller absolutely has the right to not engage in the practice of partial refunds but plenty of other eBay sellers do and because of this I am allowed to disagree with that practice.
*For reader comprehension: Civil disputes in which a customer requests a partial refund ($5 on a $70 damaged item) and is denied and the customer accepts said denial but leaves a negative review doesn’t constitute harassment...
Read moreMost appropriate name for a great little store. Context: I mostly play MTG
Went in for the first time yesterday, as I met someone in the parking to complete a trade. Joe, the owner, was very nice and made for great conversation.
The store: its small, with a surprisingly robust amount of sealed product (recent set's mainly). There were some binders of low - mid end singles (under $10) and a couple boxes of bulk to go through. They also had Pokemon and OnePiece although I didn't pay attention to that display case.
There were a lot of nifty little accessories (deck boxes, play mats) that he had and I hadn't seen in the larger stores. Prices were actually a buck or so cheaper on the deck boxes which was nice.
The only suggestion I have for anyone going here, check out the TCGPlayer store for the inventory he has in the back. There were cards there I would have purchased if I had known about them. Maybe put a tablet out front and lock it to the tcgstore app for customers to see single inventory?
Either way, Ill probably stop in to get a pack or two to rip whenever I am in...
Read moreBeen going here every now and then since around the time it opened and there’s always a really great selection of games and consoles. The owner is also a pretty cool guy, I recently bought a copy of spiderman 2 for ps2 and it had a small scratch that prevented me from getting past the first mission, my game would just freeze and not work. I brought it in and the owner gave me the courtesy of cleaning my game thoroughly for me and afterwards said to bring it back if I still had issues. I appreciate the way he handles issues like this and he couldn’t be nicer about it! My game works perfectly now and I’m living through the nostalgia of my favorite game as a kid. Definitely consider bringing your...
