Urban Pie — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

Called in an order for three pizzas for carry out since they are small and was ordering for a couple different people. This was going to be my first time trying it. Was told it was going to be 25-30minutes due to two large parties that had just showed up there and they just ordered about fifteen pizzas each. Okay. I arrived there after about 15 and realized I would have to wait a little bit. Got there and was told it would be another 25 minutes and that it had only been 15 minutes since I called. No real apology and was told they could cancel the order which I had them do. Saw the order on there screen when they went to cancel it and there was only two pizzas on there instead of three. I let them know that and the guy thought he had the wrong order pulled up and went to pull another one up. I told him it was the right order and there should have been three pizza instead of two as the other order he tried to pull up wasn’t even close to mine as to what was ordered. The people who worked there were young and just didn’t seem to care. I kind of had my suspicions when I called and placed the order and “Caleb” on the other end seem kind of taken a back when I asked for a meat pizza without bacon and a a VegHead with black olives added. I realize they may have been taken aback by the two large groups but they should be more prepared and get their times right and treat the other customers well. May not got to try them again. Typically I am not one to post, but I didn't have the greatest service the last 2 times I've dined with one of my favorite restaurants in the cedar valley. The first time my girlfriend and I went and were not greeted by a server for 10-15 minutes, even though plenty of servers walked by. Once we got a server, she routinely took a while to check on us. She was a nice gal and they seemed busy, so we just drank our drinks and dealt with it. Because of the lack luster service she gave us a free coupon for a single topping pizza.

That brings us to today because I couldn't order online with the coupon I tried calling on the phone and was left on hold for 15 minutes after connecting with a worker. Because I was left on hold for 15 minutes I hung up, because I clearly was forgotten about. I tried to call again but the phone number said it was busy every other time I tried to call. I drove there and placed an order in person instead told them what happen and all I got was the workers shocked reaction and an I'm sorry.

I got three pizzas to go. For having just walked in off the street, and not ordering ahead of time, the wait for my pizzas wasn't all that long (about 20 minutes). Now the pizzas themselves? Loved all the ones I took home for my family to try. I got the Mac Daddy (bacon and mac n cheese toppings), the French Toast (cream cheese, strawberries, cinnamon, and syrup), and a chocolate dessert pizza I forgot the name of (chocolate drizzle, cinnamon crust, and chocolate pieces ). The only complaint I can think of if I needed one is that I didn't realize how small 10 inch pizzas really were. Maybe we eat too much, but each pizza feeds about two people at most. Luckily, I bought the three so there was no trouble for me when I got home. There was enough pizza for my family of four to try about two slices of each pizza. Everyone loved the pizzas and their different flavors. So I'd say if you're looking to try some unique pizzas you can't find anywhere else in town go try out...
