Update 4/2023 Inside Second State you find Concept Kitchen. Chef Clint Goodman has traveled and trained internationally and uses that experience to bring a splendid variety of dishes and flavors to the table. His entrees vary and the a la cart items always include flavorful street tacos and yummy breakfast burritos. Open Thu, Fri 5p-8p and Sat 2p-8p.
Update 12/2022 A new Chef has joined Second State and will be serving starting on January. He is well known in the area and we are very excited. Initially probably only weekends but expect expansion over time.
Update 12/6/2023 @Concept Kitchen, led by Clint Goodman, serves the most awesome food! We often end up eating there twice a week. Rotating international flavors, as well as the standards of tacos, burritos, poutine, and chips & queso. Give it a try! —-------

The bartender was so friendly and attentive even though they were busy. We decided to do a flight of their fall brews- and hands down they have the best Pumpkin beer I’ve ever had. It’s not too spicy or sweet and still tastes like a beer. A close second is their blood orange brew- again the flavors are amazing but not overpowering, nice hints of citrus in this ale. Definitely going to order a pint of this next time. They also sell glassware! The tiny flight glasses were adorable, good stocking stuffer.

Read moreWe had 2 flights, with 4 beers on each one. There was NOT 1 beer that we didn’t like. They do a great job on their brews. Balanced flavors and creative ones also. We had our favorites but overall very well done brews. Now, for the food. We had the nachos with chicken and the Steak Escabeche. The flavors in both were amazing. We really enjoyed both and are sad that we are from 4.5 hours away so we can’t try the other menu items. The chef/food creator have done an amazing job here.
