EZPAWN — Local services in Cedar Rapids

I went to this store to pawn my almost new Stihl mulcher-blower as my son needed to borrow some money and I didn't have it to loan. So I go back a couple weeks later to pay the loan and get my machine back. When they brought it out to me it was all dirty and scratched up. Then when I got home and went to use it and found the throttle linkage is bent. There is wood and cardboard stuck and intertwined inside. I've NEVER used the mulcher. This machine has a two stroke engine meaning you must mix two stroke oil in the gas. The gas was clear and not a drop of oil in it. Someone down there USED my blower! They beat it up pretty good and refueled it with regular gas. I spoke to the lead about it (guy with ponytail) and the guy freaked out and became belligerent angry! One can make up there own mind but I would not trust this store. The other one across town is...

I came in to the store Saturday. There was a young mixed girl working with glasses and had a red headband on. She was so quick to say my wedding ring wasn’t worth anything. Keep in mind my wedding ring has a metal band thing on it to make it fit better so when she did the metal test it clamped on to it by the metal piece. She obviously didn’t know this because the manager before told me it was worth up to 550 and on top of that I pawned it there before but she was so quick to say it wasn’t worth anything and help the next customer. I was not impressed. I ended up taking it to the other ezpawn shop for the same 550 I got before when I pawned it.. Long story short she needs to fix her attitude and listen to the customer instead of being so quick to say something isn’t worth...

Amazing service by an amazing staff! They're always very helpful, friendly, and more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Also, MUCH more knowledgeable than the EZ Pawn store on the other side of town!! I recently took some mostly scrap silver jewelry to the 1st Ave EZ Pawn, where they told me that they would actually keep and sell a couple of my pieces, yet were still only paying me 1/10 of the current scrap silver market price. So i declined their offer and brought the same jewelry to this EZ Pawn, where they told me that I actually had a pendant with real diamonds AND a ring that was 14k gold, not silver! I was SOOO thankful for their knowledge...
