My husband and I decided to try this place out! We were excited and then quickly disappointed. It was busy, but we decided to sit at the bar. We were barely greeted and received our drinks shortly thereafter. We thought we'd start out with an appetizer. We each took a bite, and the eggrolls were still raw, and it appeared that most of the ingredients must have gone into the oil they were fried in. Neither of the 2 bartenders asked if everything was good, okay, or anything. We sat there for a good 10 minutes before we were able to express our dissatisfaction. I just told the bartender they were raw and that they're weren't acceptable to be served. She immediately grabbed the uneaten eggrolls, said nothing, and proceeded to dramatically throw them into the garbage behind the bar. A manager approached us within 5 minutes or so, gave no apologies, and said he took them off the bill. Well, thank you, but the attitude from the sassy bartender continued. She had the other bartender bring us our bill, and the eye rolling didn't stop. She was rude, and for that, we won't be back. I worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, and I know customers aren't always the easiest to deal with, but you need to figure it out. Read moreWe stopped in July 4th for a bite to eat, wasn’t busy at all. Found worms in my broccoli I had already been eating, removed them and showed our server Sally I believe. She seemed very nonchalant about it. Didn’t apologize or seem concerned or anything. Simply took them to the cooks without saying a word, then 10 minutes later came back to me and said “I took $4.99 off for the broccoli”. Ok, better than nothing I suppose, but if it was my restaurant you better believe I would have at least offered an apology and comp the full dish, or SOMETHING. Then when it comes time to pay the bill I still tip 20% because I realize she’s trying to earn a living. However I notice the bill is much higher than our initial receipt. I bring it up to her and say I think I just paid someone else’s bill. She said no I don’t even know how that would happen. She checks on it for 10 minutes (mind you we have somewhere to be) come back and says yeah that was someone else’s bill, I don’t know what to do. Checks on it another 10 minutes and says “he’s on the phone, I’m a manager, he’s a manager neither of us know what to do it’s gonna be a while” I finally said that’s fine, keep the money we have somewhere to be that’s worth more than the overpaid bill. Read moreHere for a baseball tournament. Server was good, personable, but 4 stars because our checks got totally screwed up at the end and it took forever to pay. Suggestion for teams that come in as a group and need separate checks- taking the order by player number makes it pretty fool-proof to split the check later.
Food was good but 3 stars because they were out of 4 or 5 of the first beers we ordered off the paper menu. They were out of at least 5 things on the food menu that we tried to order - Shakes, avocado fries (for our vegetarian friend), and some toppings for a burger we ordered to name a few. It started to become ridiculous after the server came back for the 6th time to tell us they were out of something. We weren't impressed with the wings but otherwise everyone else was happy with their food. Atmosphere was typical for this type of restaurant.
Would we come back? Maybe... we'd probably try something else if we came back...
