The restaurant is pretty nice and the waiter welcomed us in and was very polite. And the food is decent. Overall the experience was going well. Until it came time for paying the bill. As me and all of my peers paid using card and were all given our receipts along with our cards. And just as we were heading out and left to get into our cars.
We were stopped by an asian lady who would tell us that we have not paid for one of the bills. And asked us to come back inside. Though confused as we had our receipts we followed her back inside where she spent somewhere close to 10 minutes looking and grabbing around the bills and mumbling numbers which seem to be card digits.
And we proceeded to ask which card has not paid for their bill and she would bring her employee that was our waiter and proceeded to say that he messed up the order. And therefor threatened that the bill will be coming out of his pay check. She would then tell us that it is the waiters fault and not ours, but despite that when we tried to help her figure out which bill was not paid she would respond to us by yelling and repeating herself.
She then would take us over to the counter where she proceeded to do the same thing and mumble card numbers, and would say that the amount of bills did not match what was paid. and when we would show her the reciepts and tried to show her that we paid she would insist that someone has not paid and asked us to show her which bill was whose.
After doing so she would still not able to achieve a solution even with us cooperating despite us having all paid. Seeing that they seem to have a faulty billing system that might have had an error, we offered to show her our bank statement charge to prove to her that we have all paid. Despite us showing her the receipt that the waiter gave us.
She would continue to yell and in the end told us that she has too many customers to serve. And proceeded to ask one of us to put his number down and said she will contact him when she figured out what’s wrong. And we ended up leaving after being yelled at and disrespected in-front of the whole restaurant.
Overall it was a bad experience, not to take away from the kind waiter that we had. And the food was not bad really. But rather the treatment we received left a bad taste in our mouths. Which is why I would not recommend this...
Read moreWe arrived at 11:30 to find the place packed! People were pleasant as we waited. When they began giving out numbers for those waiting we were given #3.... As we were leaving they were on #99, and people were still streaming in. It was definitely worth the wait! As is my usual way of attacking a buffet, I started with the salads. Everything was fresh, with many options. I chose two veggie only options and everything was tasty. My next course was the hot and sour soup. The temperature was perfect, and the soup was both spicy and full of delicious ingredients. I wish I'd had another bowl, but there were so many enticing things to sample! My next stop was for fried goodies... The crab rangoons were different than any other place we've eaten, though I couldn't put my finger on what made them so yummy. The fried bananas were perfectly done and piping hot. I'm a sucker for a Chinese fried donut, and these did not disappoint. My last stop was the hibachi grill. I piled my plate full of veggies from a nice selection and added some rice noodles. Opting for both garlic and spicy sauce I watched as the grill master quickly cooked them up for me. (Don't forget to carry some cash to throw in the tip jar). After that I was too full to try any of the desserts, but they all looked good. My husband enjoyed the spring and egg rolls, as well as some udon noodles, and garlic chicken. He pronounced them all delicious. From the hibachi he had pork, udon noodles, mushrooms, and sprouts, with garlic but no spicy sauce. He said the only thing missing was the curry peanut sauce he loved from Genghis Grill, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. He actually made it to the dessert table, enjoying the banana pudding. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and have already made plans to meet a friend there next week! Welcome Golden Apple! We're so happy you're here in...
Read moreOk this is my second post we have gone back again and I wish we had not waited so long . This place is the bomb , the food is fresh there is a wonderful selection that makes you want to keep going back and tasting everything. We try and go to all the buffets of this type and try them , I'm sorry to say there is not one that has been close to the quality of the dishes to choose from here . There is no icky feeling running to the bathroom or anything like that , sorry to be blunt . We go home full and with very happy tummies. They keep the dishes off your table they check on you constantly but not so that it's intrusive, every one is kind , helpful very respectful . We absolutely love the place I wish that we lived closer because we would definitely be going more often. I wish I could give it more than five stars, if you've not been definitely make it your next place to go and have a great meal . The only thing I would change is they should have a soda fountain, I'd much rather be able to refill my oun drink especially when you have children, I'd be fine having an extra charge for this on my bill instead of having to ask for another drink. We usually have at least two drinks and I think this could be figured into there billing. I don't like flaging down a waiter to ask for a soda when I could get it myself, this would be the only thing I would change . It's asked how much we spent , we spent $124 but there was 6 of us and trust me we ate every bit of it and more , it was...
