I have visited this Jared location three times now, and each time has been a wonderful experience. The first time I went, I had the honor of meeting Addy, who, truth be told, would not be out of place showing mind-shatteringly expensive jewelry in a store located in the capital city of a major world superpower. Addy got me set up with three chains and the coolest watch I have ever seen. I am thrilled at my purchases, and the experience was made even better when she frankly and clearly explained the pros and cons of buying a lifetime protection plan for each of the four pieces, two of which I purchased and two which I did not. Afterwards she and her two colleagues Cynthia and Melissa had a lovely chat with me, in which they entertained my possibly-impossible delusions that I will one day be a rich and famous entrepreneur, which I will. Trust me.
My second visit was with Cynthia. She eventually got me set up with the perfect set of bling. I chose eight custom-made continuum sterling silver metal rings, each mounted with a different color quarter-inch round-cut gemstone. She also helped me pick out a beautiful golden wedding band and secure it with a lifetime protection plan. Finally, she showed me another awesome watch in the clearance display which was beautiful to look at, but unfortunately did not work right then. So she applied a heavy discount to the watch for me, and then on top of that, without me having to even ask, she decided that the watch was unsuitable for sale. She then ordered an ENTIRELY NEW watch of the exact same type and tasked it for delivery to her store for me to pick up with my custom-made rings.
On my third visit to the store to discuss some features of my buying experience with Jared Cedar Rapids thus far, the store manager herself took time out of her day to sit with me and another sales associate and listen to my feedback. Sue, the manager on shift, took every word I said seriously. It was refreshing to interact with a good boss who cares not only about her people, but also the quality of the service and goods at her place of business. I wish every boss I'd had over my career had been as friendly, open-minded, and serious as Sue was on my third visit. The cherry on top was her informing me that my broken watch had been replaced with a new one free of charge!

Read moreI had THE MOST fantastic experience with Jared in Cedar Rapids! We upgraded my wedding ring several years ago at another local jewelry store, but I was terribly unimpressed with their service, especially since any little repair or service required my wedding ring to be sent out for many weeks or even months at a time. I absolutely love my ring but due to some structural issues, was considering replacing my center quad diamonds or upgrading to another ring again. Because of the the price point I was already at, this would be a very expensive decision, one that took me over eight months to make. I weighed many options, including replacing the center quad with a white sapphire (there was just no comparison when I saw the stone in my setting.) I was then going to trade up but the thought of selling my ring made my stomach roll - that told me something. Eventually, my husband and I decided to replace the center quad with a gorgeous 2.06 carat diamond. To say I was nervous and indecisive was an gross understatement. I mainly worked with Claudia and she was SO incredibly patient and never pushed me to make a purchase I wasn't comfortable with. She was also completely honest and transparent with me, letting me know the diamond I picked may not work in my setting by damaging the integrity of the ring. Today, I got my "new" ring back and I could not be happier! It's simply stunning with my new center diamond and literally took my breath away! Now that I have a single stone, all future cleaning and repairs can be done in-house at Jared, and I won't be without my beloved wedding ring for more than a few hours. They surcharge my card a little over $7,000 for the both after we found out that they weren't able to exactly make what I wanted in my custom design I decided I did not want to do a custom design if I can't have the ring that I want so Claudia the assistant refunded our money for my ring back onto the card this was on the 19th of November we were charged on the 15th of November so the bill that came to us on December was showing a balance of $7,000 total the refund wasn't shown until later after we spoke with Claudia who said that our minimum payment would come down because we would be refunded close to $5,000 6,000 back. Long story short my minimum payment is showing $400 because they don't know how to adjust the minimum payment. Thanks a lot to Claudia, and to comenity Bank. I will let everyone know whoever I can to not purchase anything from Jared's because of their association with a fraudulent banking company. When you call the carl center let's just say it's the worst thing imaginable and God forbid if you get Denzel on the phone. Looks like I'm stuck paying $400 minimum payment for $1,000 to 1500 ring.
